If Ya Gotta Do 9mm…

… be a gentleman and do it right!

Remember: there are only three guns worth having in 9mm!

The one above, and:

And…

If you’re a fwenchman or a similar genetically disadvantaged variant
that can’t do civilized pistolcraft, in certain cases exceptions
may be made…

  1. If you're going old school then go OLD school. 1851 Colt Navy cap & ball in 36 cal (close enough to stupid metric 9 mm). That's a shooter. And if you have to start your cal with a 4 there's Dragoon's and the Walker, talk about stopping power those horse pistols had it.

    1. Agreed.

But technically there is a dividing line between manly propellants and smokeless, Steve. And you are right - there is NOTHING more appealing than a 51 Navy in .36.

    2. Except a Dragoon in 44. Way down sized from the Walker.

  2. Well, you sure got that one right. My brother owns three out of four you suggested; Luger, Mauser, and Browning. I've shot all three. The Luger is the easiest to shoot, but you need red hot ammo. The Mauser isn't easy. Use hot ammo and tie down on it with everything you have, or the thing will stove pipe. I couldn't hit much with the Browning. I don't know why, but nothing worked.

    Anyway, nice pix.

    1. Some Brownings and their clones have crappy fixed sights, WL. And I’ve never seen 9mm’s do well at target stuff with cast lead ammo… or some of the cheap ball crap that is still floating around. The reloaders do well with the 9 because they can futz with optimum Boolits and powders for their particular gun.

But if all you need to do is put two in Jamal’s chest and one in his pan… any 9 can do the job.

    2. The Browning is my fave, BUT they NEED adjustable sites and to nix the mag safety.
