The Obsolete Stubfart: How’s My Replacement Working Out For Ya….?

Oh. Oh no. I guess my day is over, huh? Turn up the sound. Enjoy.

I might be able to match the tone and bouquet… but the pyrotechnic smoke effects? Lighting farts takes more courage than I have. AI claims another talented writer! Woe to the world!

How’s it goin’ y’all? Are you all worried about AI replacing you too? The socials are lit right up with all the world’s self proclaimed authors and artists just worried sick about their future when AI does better work than they do. They’re declaring a holy jihad against AI slop as if human slop is any better.

😂👍

My daughter once fancied herself an artist. Her specialty was fantasy fiction illustrations featuring dragons and Avante Garde gay anime. The problem was all the other creepy degenerates in her tribe were doing the exact same dreck. All AI is gonna do is add to the cesspool. The gay artistes are all worried that AI will devalue their work… when their work had no real value or merit to begin with.

Unlike fart-blogging, I suppose…😆👍

I shouldn’t be such a dink. Her creepy skull forked girlfriend had a modicum of real talent… but real artistic talent is not a high commodity item. There’s tons of it around -if you have the coinage. Even at their best the two dykes were hopelessly short of the top talents out there. They have far bigger problems than AI… but whadda I know?

Literature has been similarly pozzed with human slop for at least 20 years. Our current authors all seemed to learn to write in a “workshop”. Everything is derivative, and all they can do is race and gender swap characters and they think that makes their work legitimate. Or they sprinkle in faggotry and feminism and call it a masterpiece. AI can do that easily. By contrast, WL Emery can write a story that goes from boring to insane faster than a jet fighter plane taking off an aircraft carrier catapult. 0 -150 kts in less than 3 seconds. All you can do is hang on and let him fly the plane. This is what is sometimes called, “spark”. AI doesn’t have it. Call it inspiration or talent if you like. And therein lies the flaw of AI. Great art and literature starts with a great question. What if we could create life? Check Frankenstein out. What if we could shrink ourselves down to the size of microorganisms? Inside surgery, maybe, a la The Fantastic Voyage... Great literature is sparked by great questions.

We don’t know what that spark actually is. In humans, we know exactly where in the brain that your visual sense gets processed. Ditto for your sense of touch, smell, hearing. But we have no idea where central processing is or how it works. It's where the brain questions. It questions itself, it questions God, it questions nature. For now, it is pure unadulterated hubris that we can put that in a machine. At best, AI is little more than a mimic or a highly intelligent parrot. So I suppose if you are an uninspired bird brain posing as an author or an artist… then…yeah. Maybe you should be worried about the parrot!

HAR HAR HAR!😆👍

AI is a tool… and if you insist on letting it do your thinking for you… you will regret it. There’s no shortcuts. Wielding a tool is the same as wielding a weapon. You have to know when, and when not to use it. It can get you into very deep trouble if you let your tools do your thinking for you. In the very near future, AI is going to crash airplanes, spacecraft, derail trains and drive cars into crowds. And like guns… people will blame the machine rather than the idiots using it. I’m not ready to abandon smart technologies yet… but I’m getting there. If I do pull the pin, the phone and iPad will go first.

Go ahead and replace ME, you arseholes!
I DARE ya!!!

****

On a personal note… I’m still around. I have no idea what my intentions are with this blog. I’m getting older and feeling older. I am becoming ever more convinced that violent revolution is in the offing. The stupids are being used by the greedy to make war on the normies and everyone is seeing it now. Pretty much all the institutions are pozzed and in the very near future, if you obey and play by their rules… you’ll be a sucker and will regret it. I don’t think people will be able to run away and hide in the country and go off grid and survive by gardening. As for me…I’m too old and fat to run. I have no real interest in the outrages and morality plays coming out of Clown World, other than to ask, “When does the shooting start?” Someone be sure to wake me up, eh?

But I am glad somebody is watching.

Cheers, you guys! Cheers! And thanks for dropping by!

  5. I hope you keep writing. I can relate to what you write about. I’m not into model aircraft, but I enjoy listening to someone talk about what they love. I have a “Mort” and we do our daily dawg patrol, although his hips aren’t what they used to be. So here’s a vote from the ThunderBox crowd for the blogging to continue.

    1. Oh gawd… how I miss Mort and Macey. Those two led good dawg lives. I hope you hold your galoot close too. They’re just gone way too soon.
But … life goes on, and I have a new team now. The li’l beaner is too aggressive and serious as his type are prone to be, but we’ll get on top of that. The Niglet is a fine young lady now, prone to occasional fits of badness and spaz seizures… but she is loved by all, even my senior delinquent adversaries. I cannot imagine how people live without them…

I’ll be happy if I don’t get deleted due to the oh-so-trendy current penchant for anti-Darwinian unnatural selection… unfortunately I now am a floater in the gene pool…analogous to that classic turd in the swimming pool on Caddy shack…

But I suppose if I were to be honest… I can’t take the heat. My dawgs are both black, and they start to fry when the temps are 20C or above. And I do love my camping, fishing and hunting…

  13. Thank you for your kind words. Please expect something in your email in the next few days. Friday at the latest.

Baseball. You know what baseball players talk about over drinks? The role of the shortstop, coordination with the second baseman, catching and throwing a red hot grounder... all except pitchers. You know what pitchers talk about? The weather, the family, the problems with their teenager - because you can either pitch or you can't. No one knows why a pitcher can pitch, he just can.

People who take art lessons can't paint or draw. I know, because I've been there and done that. Yes, I got better, but my instructor could take a sketch pad and a pencil and in five minutes he'd render an accurate likeness of anyone he could see, or in some cases he'd ever seen. I, for instance, learned what the bashful billionaire Howard Hughes looked like in his prime. Now those who can, who have the talent, might stop in for a visit but that's it. They are otherwise drawing, painting, whatever. They've got it.

I taught ballroom dance for about ten years. People came to me to learn how to dance, and in ten years time I only came across three people who had the talent. One was a student who turned pro, and had it. She had the talent, and could have won herself a title if she had someone who could keep up with her. There wasn't any such person available. The other two were students, and they didn't last long.

You have a decent talent, Mister Filthie. You write this blog and people enjoy reading it. Not because you're famous or adept at producing word-wooze (Kim du Toit is an example of word-wooze), it's because you can write. Your blog is interesting. I was getting ready to send you an email just to find out if you were still on the sunny side of the lawn.

Anyway, nice to hear from you.

    1. I used to be able to draw but I never developed beyond doing caricatures of my fellow students and instructors doing unspeakable things to each other and farm animals.

One acerbic prof was fond of telling me to “go copulate with a duck” and I left a portrait of Donald Duck with a big cross-bandaid over his bung with the caption “Filthie was here”. Disney characters are all easily drawn and soon the cartoon was everywhere - on the desks, in the chitters, and folks were even talking about tee shirts. I went viral ten years before the internet.
Sometimes talent SHOULD go to waste, WL…😂👍

  16. Yup, you nailed it. Even here in Mayberry, people who DON'T talk about politics or religion, are in the noticing phase. I'll mention some aspect of Clown World and they DO have something to say!
I think we're only allowed to see a retarded level of AI, I have no doubt they have super genius, demon level AI (a management tool for the Anti Christ). I'm just as sure that Murphy (a non denominational phuquer) is going to throw some monkey wrenches into the works for It. He can't save us, but he may give us some laughs.
Except for inflation, things are still quite pleasant here in Mayberry adjacent. The well off farmers in my AO, are practicing shooting like they have ammo to burn. They probably do.
Even here, I doubt the 4 Horsemen will take all that long to show up, once the fan and excrement connect.
I understand yer feels, I got 'em too. I miss yer musings and I'm not the only one. We worry whenever a favored "blogger'' goes silent for a while.
Glad I started back to church about 8 months ago, it's mostly "reformed (?)'', mechanised Mennonites, great folks.
