All That Matters Is Getting Started

That’s a damn good start, eh? I know Tiny over at Big Country goes in for military MREs. He’s a squaddie so he knows which ones to get, and what the pricing is. Then when he sees them on Amazon on sale he buys a big glut of them and he’s good to go.

My wife went this way. It’s a great way to go too… she’s ALWAYS shopping, she watches the sales like a hawk and when they drop - she’s on them like a hawk. Her mom’s the same way and I think it’s almost become a hobby for them. There’s always food in my house, even if the old lady wants to skip shopping for a week.

Us guys might want to look at our side of it too. How’s your fuel? Generator? Ya camp gear? It might be a good time to muckle into it for me. Winter is on its last legs. Might be a good time to go through it with a mind toward summer camping too…

  2. On the above note, a couple ounces of pipe filler or a 5 pack of dog rockets every couple weeks, lb of roll yer own ciggy tobacco & papers, half size bottle of hooch every now & again. Hard cast lead in common sizes, primers, 1 lb bottles of powder...think barter goods. All that silver & gold you've been stacking probably ain't gonna do it. The vast majority of the bulk stuff I have is broken down into 1 & 2 lb vac sealed or mylared units for that reason.
