How Many Angels Can Dance On The Head Of A Pin?

It depends on who ya ask, I guess? It’s probably a question ya shouldn’t ask, maybe? I am an expert on shitlib atheist thought. I should be - I was raised by them and surrounded by them most of my adult life. But you know how it goes with those people: the wheels start falling off their buses, their lives get train wrecked (or worse, they train wreck the lives of others) - and none of the carnage is ever their own fault. They are the eternal victims, it’s all your fault or society’s fault because you’re all mean and stupid and don’t care about them. You’re the bad guy, not them!!!!

I had begun watching a lot of the Christians locally about 20 years ago. I was embroiled in non-stop turmoil and drama in my family but those Christians… welp… they didn’t have problems like my family was having. And as my circumstances worsened I began to wonder why. If I expressed my doubts openly I was mocked and derided by my family - especially the women. “Christians are brain dead sheep and cattle that don’t think for themselves. Their preachers are all hucksters and grifters. Half of their idiot traditions are based on paganism… blah, blah, blah…”

I would come to learn that was not all that true. In fact, a lot of that hog wash was mostly projection. I can see why the liberal womenfolk were so adamantly opposed - people with a conscience cannot be controlled … or manipulated. I converted late in life and my wife found an alternate family for us at a little chapel out in the country. To be fair, there’s a LOT wrong with the modern churches - one only needs to watch the antics out of the Vatican… or the latest fiascos coming from *aggot Island Britain… the Church of England has been a circus tent for a long, long time. It’s so bad that the Christians are leaving their church to the clowns. I don’t blame them one bit!

One thing that did turn me off were dogmatic disagreements among Christians. Some of it involves the stupidest shit too. One fella claimed that the Sabbath was actually on Friday and if I attended services on Sunday.. I was going to go to hell for being a bad person. An atheist told me everything from Christmas on down… was stolen by Christians from paganism. When I asked for proof I was told that I was a bad person and stupid. Whatever.

I found the enclosed video interesting. I don’t get hung up on dogma or denominational divisions. I acknowledge that there is a LOT seriously wrong with the concept of Christmas today. I don’t care; the stubfart preacher at our church once said, “There is no such thing as ‘church doctrine’, there is only God’s Doctrine…”.

God doesn’t talk to me. I consider myself lucky that I can sometimes see His hand move as He goes about His business. I’m not going to tell anyone what to believe or try to speak for my Maker. He will reckon with you the same as He will with me. In the absence of His direct involvement… sometimes all I can do is guess at His intent. I am often stymied trying to figure out what He is up to; often it’s beyond me.

If you’re like me, all you can do is search out your own facts and do the best ya can. I’m intrigued by this kid and think he’s worth fact checking. Your mileage may vary. If you have anything worth adding… feel free in the comments.

Not sure I disagree or agree with anything here…
But his approach seems sound on the face of it.

But whadda I know?

So purposely wrong in order to deceive Christians.

  5. Filthy, I usually don't discuss religion because it is deeply personal and as you say people want to argue about the dumbest shit that really is meaningless in the big scheme of things.
To be a Christian, you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and then try to live your life as he taught us. Going to a good church is fine and if it helps you in your faith journey great but it isn't required.

Christianity is an anathema to an atheist... the idea that there is the TRUTH ... not "your truth" but the TRUTH and you will be eventually JUDGED on how you live your life.
"If it feels good do it" is not in the good book and leads to a hedonistic and evil lifestyle.
They all KNOW this deep down and but they will never admit it thus their hatred of Christianity.

    1. I dunno Jimmy. I’m still less than five years into the faith but our church elders are gifted speakers and teachers. For me they’ve been an integral part of my spiritual journey. They invite legitimate oversight, correction and rebuke and I’ve seen no occasion to doubt them yet… and believe me… I fact checked them as best I could. They seem to fall right in line with classical Christianity.
They DID tick me off with regards to modern jews when the subject came up - they admonished us last Christmas about their role in the crucifixion and forbade antisemitism on the basis of it. They reminded us that Jesus Himself was a jew.

But they did acknowledge their current year mendacity and perfidy… I choose to disagree with them but stand to be corrected if it is warranted.

But other than that our church folk tend to be great.

    Fuck this murderous MFR.
No such thing as anti-semitism, these Fake Jews are of the Synagogue of Satan, which is why DNA test are ILLEGAL in Israel. They think they can keep the American people quiet about their atrocities with that Farce.
    Revelation 3:9
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

    1. Judeo-Christianity is right on par with Judeofeminism, Judeofadcism, and judeosocialism. Those swine are up to their ears in the raping of the Kraine… and it sounds like Venezuela might be next. God will deal with them as He always has.

Agreed. I will share what I believe and talk about scripture that I rely on. That requires about five minutes. I know how I got where I am. I can't magically bring someone else through the trials and lessons of life to get them there, and the There that they are being led to might just Not be anything like mine,so, I could screw someone else's journey up. Naah,I just try to make sure they know this whole trip is a spiritual journey and their path is their own to work out. There Are common elements, like Thankfulness is important, seeing it all as a gift, all things work for the benefit of the believer,, and go from there.
As for the atheists? How can anyone look at this world and decide there is no creator?

  8. The Bible is the only legitimately authority. That's why I tend to favor the non-denominational churches. They don't answer to a hierarchy of man made rules and doctrines. The trouble is that a lot of things in the Bible can be interpreted in several different ways. Add to that, the fact that the translation of the Hebrew and Greek words can have more than one meaning, depending on context, and you get into some flakey stuff.
