Ammo - Big Green

Most of my early childhood ammo was red. Can’t remember who made them but I bet I’d recognize the box if I saw it. Then for awhile the corner stores in my neighborhood carried these green ones for awhile. Musta been a subsidiary of Remington, maybe?

Ballistic performance on krauts, gooks, indians and cattle rustlers was the same as the classic red ones.

  1. Remember the stick on green ones and the heavier made plastic ones like a moon clip?

  2. I remember putting a whole pack of those things on the ground and hitting it with a sledge hammer! What I DON'T remember is what my hearing was like BEFORE I did this...

  3. Used the red plastic ones for caplock muzzleloaders 10-15 years ago during the last big ammo shortage. At the time I had at least 10,000 various sized caps I just wanted to see if they worked. They did, but extremely corrosive. As soon as you were done you had to clean right away. Soap and water followed by Balistol and check several days later.
