I was always a Craftsman guy cause a) they were affordable, b) they used to be American, and c) they had a pretty tight 100% replacement of broken tools policy. I remember going back to Sears several times and no questions asked, here's a brand new one.
Just on a fucking whim, I thought to myself why not get some genuine Snap-On tools, maybe a screwdriver set or something. Then I saw the prices and no-way-Jose! They can fuck right off for trying to charge $100+ for a fucking screwdriver. Damn.
Good news is that Lowes now sells the Craftsman brand tools and they are trying to bring back production to USA.
We get "Craftsman" brand tools at our main hardware chain, "Bunnings". Must be a different company to yours, because it's chinese shit made to be the cheapest available in it's category. I simply refuse to buy or use "Craftsman" because I've broken too much of it during light duty DIY projects.
Anon, I bought most of my tools in the 70s and 80s, long before the Clinton's fucked us by letting China take over. Craftsman was top quality back then. Now pretty much every brand is Chinese shit but I've heard Craftsman is trying to restart USA production. If so, I'll fully support them.
That looks like a "Snap-right-Off" tool.

DeleteNo big deal. Toss the fob and just do a FEM like using some communication wire and a M26 pin
ReplyDeleteLooks more like a Snapped-Off to me.
ReplyDeleteUm, that might be a counterfeit wrench. I've seen the chinese bastards ripoff everything. And when I say seen, I mean eyes on in the factory.
