Chinesium

Back in the BeforeTimes…my dad was a snap-on guy.

He almost had a stroke years ago when I told him the tools were being
made by chinks and again when he found out I was right.

  1. That looks like a "Snap-right-Off" tool.

I was always a Craftsman guy cause a) they were affordable, b) they used to be American, and c) they had a pretty tight 100% replacement of broken tools policy. I remember going back to Sears several times and no questions asked, here's a brand new one.

Just on a fucking whim, I thought to myself why not get some genuine Snap-On tools, maybe a screwdriver set or something. Then I saw the prices and no-way-Jose! They can fuck right off for trying to charge $100+ for a fucking screwdriver. Damn.

Good news is that Lowes now sells the Craftsman brand tools and they are trying to bring back production to USA.

  2. No big deal. Toss the fob and just do a FEM like using some communication wire and a M26 pin
