July 4th Celebrity BBQ At Mad Jack’s Shack

The hottest wings I ever ate were at a greasy restaurant 100 years ago in Dreadful Vally with Skinbag. They were deceiving to look at - the wings were grey. I will bet dollars to donuts though - that they weren’t as hot as the ones here. These hale and hearty men handled it with true professionalism (unlike Skinbag and I did). Later Skinbag barfed down the side of my truck… and I had a Chernobyl-level dump the next day that nearly incinerated his toilet. As we all know, the logarithmic Rectum Scale tops out at 10. By my conservative estimate I’d say I hit 17!

Gawd… now I want chicken wings for supper! 🥵

  2. When I was young we dared each other to eat hot food like that - even then I knew it was stupid. Now? I like my food with flavor, even somewhat hot, but not enough to scorch my rectum. Jeez. And I always considered wings to be either bar food or a kiddie meal for drunks, not a real dinner. Yet I understand some people consider that a freaking meal? Eh.

    1. I dunno if I agree or not, Don. I still eat them sometimes but usually with other goyslop unhealthy foods. But I could eat an entire plate of those things and wash them down with beer and pop… and die a happy man… 😂

  3. Glen - gross. Just gross.

I'm trying to remember, but I would have to guess that the hottest wings I've ever had were at a place called 57 Heaven (8136 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL). They had a DJ and a large club style dance floor with a railing around it, and they catered to the over 40 crowd. Most people actually knew how to dance.

The wings were hotter than a two dollar pistol on Saturday night, but they were also delicious. We used to close the place down, then go out to this marina that had an outdoor Tiki bar and a dance floor. On really hot nights we'd finish by going swimming in a pool that belonged to a friend of a friend who knew somebody's cousin.

    1. Just random surfing, F. I saw them and fell in love with them. Sure, they were hamming for the cameras … but there’s a goodness of spirit in them that makes ya smile…
