Mayhaps Mr. De Niro has misconstrued “support”, equating it with unqualified attaboys for ones’s children in all things. Given the fundamental irrationalities and farragoes being foisted upon our young via schooling, media, etc., a worldlywise, guiding hand instead would have been better? But no, with his own toxic leftism as his yardstick, that could never have been a viable option.
