Ammo

Those came out just as I was hanging up my Daisy BB guns and going to .22s. Back when I was buying them, they came in reinforced cardboard tubes.

  1. I feed my 60's era Daisy Model 25 (old style with 50 round posi-feed magazine) out of that box. They live on the front porch to shoo the dogs out of the garden and occasionally scare a bunny. Rocks or leaves in the driveway are subject to random victimization.

  2. I would have the little tubes, and refill them out of the milk carton. The little tubes fit in my pocket better.

I also used to carry a film container with pellets so I would have both kinds of ammo.

  3. Pretty much the same for I. Now days, I have 2 grandsons & we each have matching Red Ryder BB rifles that see a lot of fun times on a frequent basis. It does this geezer good.

  4. Yes, yellow cardboard cylinders with black caps or the plastic clear envelopes of Daisy Golden BBs were sold at our Mom N Pop convenience store. Magical years those were. I took them for granted.
