The Peanuts Kwanza Classic

It’s that time a year, people!

I am not totally heartless. I can trace my ancestry back 4 generations. I know where my people come from. They were modest but respectable peasant farmers and low rank warriors that dutifully served their king and country and later built the foundations of the country I currently live in today. They weren’t ever rich, but they were free, or as free as they could be for their time. It was enough. It still is. I thank them for my freedom today.

I watch the blacks struggle as they seek the same for themselves. They invented fake holidays, fake heroes, fake mythologies,  fake legends … but none of it matters. In the end there is no self worth found in victim politics, bigger EBT gibs, and softer prison sentences and thug culture.

The blacks that succeed today are not the dancing monkeys of Hollywood or the affirmative action flunkies of Washington.  The blacks that succeed today will be those that take responsibility and ownership of themselves and their circumstances and problems. They will be the ones that measure their success in accomplishment and the pride from a job well done. Unfortunately that takes discipline and effort and intellect.
