So…I’m on OyTube again. My attention span is now so short, OyTube had come out with super short vids especially for the slow ADHD kids. One of the new viral fads is where the girls do their speeded up make up routine to that nauseating “Barbie” toon. I can’t help but watch it, I dunno why. The vids are no longer than one minute.
My position on war paint is that most girls shouldn’t use it. AT ALL. Most girls don’t need it and for the ones that do - it only makes things worse! But… some of the girls… it transforms them. Shockingly so.
Hrrrrrrmmmmm…crazy eyes? Maybe?
The effect is even MORE pronounced with the girls on OyTube. It’s amazing…some of them are your average squirrely 14 year old girls, and they are so good with the war paint that by the time they’re done…they look like they’re the same age as Shania and better looking.
It’s my suspicion that most of these sorceresses doing these incredible transformations… they tend to be train wrecks, in my experience. Their relationships tend to be short, numerous, and unhappy. But… this is Canada. “Don’t you dare slut-shame anyone, Filthie!!! Sluts are people too!!!”
Maybe it’s my old fashioned bigoted morality talking… but I think pushing slut culture at girls is baaaaad juju. Hell’s bells…a lot of older women struggle with it.
But whadda I know…?
I'm glad my daughter doesn't wear much make-up. She's beautiful without it. As for Shania, never cared for her music. I always said she only sold albums because of her looks 30 years ago. I think you left out a current picture of her with pink hair. Eliza Schlesinger (Freezing Hot) does a skit regarding the names of these beauty products and you can find them on Ranker too. I feel sorry for some of these girls/woman today that are idolizing the likes of the Kardasss-ians clan or that horse face Swifty. What happened to their own identity? Have their own mothers led them astray?
ReplyDeleteThe parents and teachers I see around here don’t lead at all, Sarah. They want to be their kids best buddies and pals while their kids find their own way…and if they go astray…the parents will go right along with them, “supporting them” all the way… and then they’ll blame society when their kids self destruct. Or stare around stupidly and wonder why it happened…
DeleteNeighbors are a bit different - she's like 45 and he's young 30's. She's admitted to my wife that she focuses on trying to look young cause she's scared of the age difference, but hell's bells you both knew that when you get married. Anyway, my wife showed me some of their stuff on facebook. OMG she looks 100% different on FB. Like 2 decades younger and way hotter. Apparently takes her 2 to 3 hours to get that way, so mostly for when they go out. But OMG if I picked up some 20-ish looking hottie on a night out and woke up next to a 45 year old post-wall woman the next morning, I'd pretty much give up drinking.
ReplyDeleteA slight age difference would be okay…but 15 years? That’s too much! For the older one it would be like growing up all over again…
DeleteI used to work with a woman who looked gorgeous every day. One day she came to work late, hadn't had time to put on the war paint. Her face was like a blank sheet of paper. White like the underbelly of a fish. Hadn't been touched by the sun in years.
ReplyDeleteThat “blank piece of paper” is a great choice of words… and there is nothing wrong with that at all…
