The Filthie Gourmet: Ethnic Cooking - TORA TORA TORA!

One of my favourite OyTube channels features this Japanese car camping clipper and he tours Japan looking for hot spring saunas to soak and relax in. When he’s finished he goes out to his micro camper in the parking lot and pops a beer and starts cooking. The Japanese don’t camp like us; their campers are half the size of ours and not nearly so lavishly appointed. But…they seem to have as much fun as we do. The guy isn’t a half bad car-cook either. He’s called Coupy Channel and he is a big wheel in the RV industry over there. His cooking tools are first rate but I don’t think you can buy a lot of them here. Not all his recipes are good…that guy eats chit with tentacles in it… so be careful!

🤢

Yesterday I decided to try a Japanese rice omelette thing - and gawd - it was spectacular. It’s super simple to make too which is great for retarded stubfarts like Yours Truly. Beat up four eggs in a bowl, throw in a ton of green onions - and pour it in a pan. Throw in some rice and sesame seeds, salt n pepper…and you’re done!

Yes I need to clean the stove!
How do experts manage to be so clean???

Then ya fold it over and square it up and it comes out of the pan as slick as chit through a goose! Even I could do it!!!

Slam it with the Frank’s Red Hot, make up a side of spinach… and you too can die a happy man! ☺️👍

SHOP NOTES

This is too much for one person. I ate mine and fell into a food protein coma afterward and couldn’t move. Next time I’ll cut it in half and share it with the wife.

  4. The wife has the exact same pan for doing Japanese omelets. She adds a little soy sauce into the egg mixture. Its really good.

  6. Definitely sounds like a better breakfast than mine. I tried mixing ramen with eggs in desperation breakfast make in office - blech ! More ingredients might work better.

Cook ramen than crack egg over that and mix up. Cook minute and a half. Swing and a miss !!

Maybe adding some onion, some chunked meat would have improved it. But as is - not going to go there again. Hang the Science ....
