I never really got one. I have alligator hide and by rights I should have as many scars as Rambo but my scales just grow back over them. Any remnants of the scar I got are long, long gone. The girls seemed to get punched from that thing pretty good though.
Nope. And the Army just kept giving me smallpox inoculations, despite it being in my shot record multiple times, because I don't scar.
ReplyDeleteYeah I suppose they'd need a garden hose for vaccines and serums for you military guys - considering all the shitholes they send you guys out to... how many other diseases have you been innoculated for McC?
DeleteBetween the Army and the DEA, I filled up two yellow international vaccine cards.
DeleteDo Not Flinch was the word when I got mine in '60
ReplyDeleteWhat would have been in that shot BB? I can't remember? It would have been polio for sure, chicken pox... and then what?
DeleteIf I put on my reading glasses, I can see what's left of it.
ReplyDeleteI got my scar from an old country doctor in the early 1960's who did it by hand with a pin (multiple pricks). The Army gave me lots of shots with a gun like the one in the photo. They always said that if you flinch, it will cut you like a razor. Never saw it happen.

DeleteI saw it happen. It was ugly. Great big guy flinched, and it cut straight across his arm. Blood everywhere. Next guy in line passed out on the spot.
Mine faded years ago, wife still has hers though.

I do. They lined us up and ran us through like cattle.
