I’m watching the latest adaptation of Star Trek circle the toilet bowl on OyTube. I gave up on Trek and Star Wars ages ago. There’s no fixing them at this point. I watch Nerdrotic and The Critical Drinker retch and vomit with their scathing critiques. You couldn’t pay me to watch that shite.
I tried to watch the latest adaptation of Asimov’s “Foundation” series on Apple but there were too many magical negroes and impossibly strong wahmen and I gave up on that too. Marvel movies are a complete write off too… and that’s probably a good place to start the redemption process. Go back to the beginning. Repair the foundations.

growing up watching ST reruns in the 70s was the life. Kirk was a stud who would fuck any bitch, even the green pussy (yes Eddy Murphy), and get the crap beaten outta him by Gorns, other various aliens, Khan, and of course Spock tuned him up pretty good. those were the days.
ReplyDeleteIf they would just STICK TO THE FREAKING BOOK!!.... movies and TV would be a lot better. The foundation books are the apex of SF so I won't touch the TV series. I already have the characters and scenes firmly fixed in my mind's eye (I've read the series so often) so screw the hollyweird types messing it all up in the name of inclusivity and DEI.
ReplyDeleteI had just re-read the Foundation series. I was excited to watch the show. They killed off the main character (Hari Seldon) in the second episode. The black Mary Sue then took over. I quit watching.
