Not Me…

Ughhhh. I used to take those on hikes.
I LOVED them and could
eat them the rest of my life without
‘packing up’.

Is this a common phenomenon? How
can you get bunged up on food like that?

  1. Meals rejected by Ethiopians perfect titles. I’ll take C rats even ham and mfkrs. Them I liked and they mostly got along with me. Just don’t eat the peanut butter. The gun crews dumped them in their barrels. I stayed far away first firings after meals

  2. I lived on MREs for months at a time, back when I was in the service. Shit once or maybe twice a week. Of course, the only two I could eat were the spam slice and the four fingers of death. Who thought pairing peanut butter with frankfurters was a good idea, when jalapeno cheddar was an option?

  3. I recently bought a 24 pack, the whole menu. The ones I have eaten were pretty good. I didn't cherry pick, just eyes closed random grab. I like to carry a couple in the SxS when we are out snow running the boonies. You never know when you may need to overnight.

  4. I loved C rats best. I can survive on MRE's but I would take LRRP's ANY DAY over MRE's. They all might have slowed my gut a little but nothing to complain about.

  5. mostly b/c we didn't get enough water into us to keep things moving. that, and the first 3 days in the field i didn't get enough time to eat enough to make a log. either too hot, too busy or the chow truck got lost. by day 5 i was miserable and the shitters were full and even my pro mask couldn't filter the stench. by then the unit was out of tp but i had my stash, always. ah, good times....
