Thinking Of Ditching GAB

I dunno what Torba’s done to his site… but my computers hate it. It’s buggy as hell and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

I kinda liked the vibe before it got messed up. It matched my own well. It’s okay to be white. It’s okay to say things that blacks, queers and jews don’t because fuck them, that’s why. I laughed like hell at the larping brown shirts, the crazed Nazis and lord… the rude jokes!

I haven’t given up on them yet…but unless they get on top of things … that site is becoming unusable.  I might take another swing at Telegram. I might have to look at the Chans too.

Who knows where I’ll end up. I definitely need to think of other places to hang out…

Try running Gab on multiple browsers and see what happens, not every browser cooperates with every website or program.

  2. I don't have an account but I have noticed a serious decline in both content and quality on the meme/humor sites there.

  3. It's sad.... Gab was the bastion of free speech that X pretended to be. Now? They're actively fingerprinting your browser now. That just happened. It's evidence that they are tracking your activity, which is evidence that they are selling that data.

No one is coming to save us. (not even Nick) TANSTAAFL and TINVOWOOT, all the way down.

  4. Telegram requires a smart phone (don't have one now) and back when I did I noticed it was a serious memory hog.

  5. I left gab when it wanted me to disable my vpn or log in, just to brouse

  6. I've been reading a lot of stuff on Substack. Lots of good talk on race, jews, religion, etc. Also some stuff that is obviously BS. Pretty open so far as I can tell. Arthur Sido cross-posts all his blog stuff there.

  7. For awhile there Gab was fun. But one by one all the cool kids left, leaving mostly the weird. Even an innocuous reply on a thread would bring out the douches. Add to that the painful setup on the site, and I’ve mostly left it.

  8. Once gab changed it's format, it made it difficult to follow the subjects I looked at each day. I shut down the app at that time. Oh well, gives me a reason to do something more constructive.

  9. Driving away your user base is how you succeed! Like the legislature failing to codify Trump's agenda, Torba's developer(s?) fail to implement fixes to site-wide problems. Hugely frustrating. And so much worse on mobile! When this first kicked off, desktop didn't work at all, and mobile was buggy. Now it's the other way round, with many of the same bugs. Probably do me good to lay off of it for a month or so. --Jimmy don't play that

  10. Well.. the quality of the shit poosters has definitely declined. But the functionality of the site seems to have picked up in the last 24 hours… hopefully they’re working the bugs out…
