Christmas Spirits

Briefly met with BW for a quick coffee yesterday
and he’s recommending this for a Christmas Tipple.

I think I’m going to buy a bottle too. I’ve always been a scotch guy. Christmas typically found me with my nose in a glass, three sheets to the wind, desperately trying to ignore my progressive shitlibbed in laws and family. Looking back on it I shoulda just found somewhere else to be. But I had developed quite the palate for it and could even pick out the notes and flavours.

Then one day I got old and turned into a miserable old goat like Cederq - and I just stopped drinking. Without asshole in laws at Christmas I didn’t need to lubricate my thinking meat anymore, HAR HAR HAR! HAR HAR HAR!

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

I used to think liqueurs were for fags and women… but maybe I was overly hasty…? What’s your Christmas poison of choice? I might actually have a few drinks this Christmas.

  2. -Randale6-

Admiral Nelson's Spiced Rum, it tastes confectiony (but in a good way) and is reasonably priced in the USA (not sure about Canada). Drink it neat, cold does nothing for it.

  4. Single malt scotch. Glenfarclas 21, Glenmorangie 14 or McCallan's 12 please, neat, still water side. That Fuente Opus X Lost City robusto looks nice as well, thanks very much.....

  6. I drink 1800 Tequila blanco ... but not straight like all y'all badasses. My drink, when I drink is a GOOD Margarita.

  7. 18 yo Caol Ila. Sadly, it has been discontinued. A 14 yo Oban is as smooth as a Highland Single Malt comes and will do in a pinch!

  8. Every Christmas season I have Port, Grappa, Frangelico, and Drambuie because I like to have a little of everything.
