I remember 100 years ago the coolest of the cool kids were all crapping on the AR15/M16/M4 and bitching about the 5.56 NATO. The farting, queefing and belching coming out of that particular circus tent left me questioning everyone’s sanity including my own. At length I just shrugged. I’m not a squaddie but if this thing can kill a deer, it can kill a man. Ammo is as accurate as ya want to make it, brass is cheap and plentiful and good bullets can be found anywhere. I ignored the cool kids and I think as a group they were shocked when pretty much everyone else did too. For this gun club stubfart, the AR15 is tops.
Likewise - when this new 6.8 round came out, I shrugged. There’s no free lunch in this world, everything is a trade off and the stuff coming over the back channels was that those trade-offs were right where you would expect to find them - despite official sources to the contrary. They were not the trade offs I woulda made, and some were so bad I suspected the involvement of guys with funny hats and big noses in the procurement process. Either them, or their hare lipped retards…?
I’m not a squaddie, or a tactical authority like the cool kids in the circus tent… but I’m gonna take a hard pass on this beast and stick with the AR15/5.56. I have no interest in this new gun at all. I don’t think you can fix these things.
