Second attempt at leather scope covers.
The retard in the sweat shop let me down again!
🤬
There’s gonna be a plug inside to seal up the lacing
holes so no dust gets in.
Now all I gotta do is get the spacing right on the holes.
I’m not a fan of laced leather (and it shows) but…
maybe the third time’s the charm..?
Blumpf and Elon are right! I need an H1B jeet to do this!
I think I glued one of my nostrils shut…
😞

Dang! Why didn’t I think of that? Eddie
Why not use a flat piece of wet leather and mold it around the end of the scope? You might cut a couple if V’s in the sleeve and sew them together along the body of the scope. I am not a fan of laces. Use bees wax and heat to harden the leather,

I make mine with calf hide and various sizes of pvc pipe. Make a mold the size of the end caps, wet the leather, press it on to the mold, and let dry. Caps are held in place by 1/8" bungee cord.
ReplyDeleteA big part of your problem is that your horse shoe is upside down.
ReplyDeleteDOH! That's it right there! Good thing you have good, observant, followers.
DeleteNot quite, the horseshoe is turned down inside the house to let the luck fall into the house.
