Why… I dunno if that’s rendered by AI or an actual build… but that would be an excellent way to bring the Luger into the 21st century, eh? What a sweetheart!
The other day I read somewhere that Glock might be cancelling one of their more popular models and some of the gunnies were in tears and kiniptions over it. I personally couldn’t care less. Also read somewhere that some cool kids had rediscovered the superior old HK USP plastic fantastics … which are superior to the Glocks hands down. I got one down in the gun safe somewhere… unless it fell overboard in that horrible canoe accident years ago…
😆
I figure going old school is great … provided ya go to the right one.

Glock is apparently revising their entire product line since someone figured out the "Glock Switch" that can turn their pistols into full auto mode. So, they'll still be making guns, just with a different alpha-numeric name to them and they should, hopefully, not be switch-able. But yeah, people are crying about it. I'm thinking there are probably millions upon millions of used ones out there if you really feel the need.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to at least shoot a real Luger once. Not sure I'd plunk down the required money for what would only be a range toy. But just the history of it is interesting enough to rent or borrow one.
I've shot one. You have to use hot ammo and tie down on it, as it operates by recoil. Otherwise it's a comfortable pistol to shoot.
DeleteDoesn’t the giggle switch just turn them into stun guns that keep firing until they empty the mag…? You could do the same thing by filing down the trigger sear I’d think…?
DeleteGotta be AI. Probably would be cheaper to find an original shooter than new manufacturer. I recall that they tried that with Inland M1 carbines.
ReplyDeleteFitty
Not AI
DeleteA bit of a sidebar perhaps but I’ll never understand to hatred some people have Glocks. I won’t go into print with how many I own but it’s a bunch and I love them. Are there better guns? Maybe but nothing is much better. And please dont start with your 1911 fetish, Im no antique collector. I don’t fly in DC3s either.
ReplyDeleteMost of my Glock hate is just me being a dink. In truth there is nothing wrong with them or the 9mm as long as ya feed them right. Same as any gun really.
DeleteIf they are your cup of tea then smile and keep shooting.
Hi Standard - Luger marriage result. It doesn't look bad at all.
ReplyDeleteHMPH! My reply to anony 11:34 didn't post.
ReplyDeleteANYWAY, the Luger looks like a military production gun that was refurbed into a shooter with a Ruger Target or Hunter barrel (bored to 9mm or gun converted to 22?) and Ruger rear sight. Might have been a junker or parts gun to start with. Either way, AWSOME!! And I'm not a big Luger fan.
Might be AI, hope not. It just turned into a Bucket List (fantasy) gun.
How many thousands of $ to make that a reliable reality?
