On Missing The Mark

Interesting, eh?

I don’t bother arguing with AO. Much like General Aesop, he’s an expert on everything and disagreeing with him only makes him mad. He’s not as dumb as Aesop… but that’s not saying much.

But… a 600 yard shot on the president? Unpossible? Ohhhh boy.

At the CMP rifle matches at Camp Perry - famous for its fiendish, treacherous winds - the President’s One Hundred (your nation’s top 100 competitors) will have at least half their shots landing in a group that would fit nicely into your boiler room… at 600 yards. From the prone position. That’s being done with an AR15 with 4X optics. Now I grant you… their rifles are not the shit house factory standard AR’s we buy off the rack down at Cabela’s. Those rifles are tweaked and tuned by sorcerers and mages that understand and manipulate forces not understood by modern man or science. They aren’t armourers - they’re artisans. The competitors that use them are incredibly focused, disciplined, driven men at the peak of their athletic ability. It doesn’t look like it… but making the human body stand as absolutely still as possible…takes incredible stamina to do, shot after shot after shot. You can watch them do it on OyTube. It pisses me off, frankly. I start having problems with wind gusts on the little 223 at 200, 300 yards. At Camp Perry… the flags are straight out, they’re all pointing different directions - and the guys are still landing solid hits! Sorcery, I say! That’s my excuse story - and I’m sticking to it!!!

Also… this is 2025, as someone noted over there. Precision rifles are a thing. Your basic precision rifle costs anywhere from $8,000.00 ~ $15,000.00 right out of the gate. Optics for it will set you back $2300.00 to $5,000.00. For those guys… the word “accuracy” doesn’t enter the conversation until they start printing groups around 0.3 MOA. You give those guys a shot at a stationary man sized target at 600 yards…and they’ll make it on a regular basis. If they miss it’s usually because they beefed the shot. There’s a lot going on to make these shots… but regular competition level shooters can and do make them on a regular basis more often than not. If you want to get into the precision rifle game you can check out the cool kids at 6mmbr.com

Why… modern precision guns
don’t even look like guns anymore. That looks like something
Darth Vader or Buck Rogers would play with!

πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

Fortunately… the vast majority of Americans that do this kind of shooting are patriots. And the vast majority of democrats that shoot at the patriots and our leaders are sexually disturbed troons and incel zit farms.  Their skills and abilities max out on writing angry manifestos and slogans on their ammunition.

But all this talk of gun play has me decided on a Range Day today. I’m going to go out theres blast 10X’s from the hip at 300 yards, and the world will bow down to God’s Gift to the shooting sports.

Errrrr… what’s that awful stench coming over my blog?!?! Ughhh… did Pete or Mike shit themselfs? Gawd…!!! It smells so bad in here… I’m gonna have to leave! We’ll see y’all again when the stink dissipates! In the meantime…have a great Thursday.

  1. I think the general gist of Divemedic's argument is that a 600 yd called shot is possible, but not easy. And certainly not something a young incel/antifa/twink who stole his granddad's antique deer rifle and spent a few practice hours at the range is going to make on the first or even last shot. Especially someone who can't decide if they are a boy or a girl.

The guys who can make that shot spend (as you say) 10's of thousands of dollars as well as 1000's of hours of intense focused practice. That type of dedication to craft and intense desire for perfection is generally a right-wing conservative trait. I've been shooting my entire life and yet anything beyond 200 yards might as well be in another zip code. I simply don't practice long range because I've never needed to shoot a deer further than about 75 yds away.

So that so-called sniper stand - if you had a true professional with a $10k rifle and another $10k scope could make that shot. He'd also be found almost immediately with no chance of escape. Something no real professional would attempt. Which leaves it to amateur hour and an amateur would have to be extremely lucky to make that kind of shot.

And yes, people go to Camp Perry and other places and routinely make shots at that distance with antique battle rifles and iron sights. Not the same thing.

    1. Agreed.

The art of the sniper is not necessarily making the shot - it's getting away afterwards. And possibly getting into position to make the shot in the first place.

The game certainly changes at mid to long range. I daresay that an escape MAY be possible - but would require an inside team to facilitate - a la JFK. Dive Medic is completely correct when he says that one involved two shooters and patsies. If the Forces Of Evil are suitably motivated - they WILL pull out the stops and make the arrangements for a targeted hit... and even then everyone will see it for what it was.

But I wonder how that works? In a world where no one trusts anyone else? Consider: for the sake of arguMINT - let's say you are a top tier shooter. And I am an eeeeeeevil jewish billionaire and I want to put an end to some high profile political/financial power player. Money is no object, make the shot for me, Don - and you live on Easy Street forever.

      Could ya trust me?

I dunno but in those circles, loose ends mean loose lips and those people in that boat almost always turn up conveniently dead! As they say - Epstein didn't hang himself.

And that's another problem that niggles at the back of my brain with all these conspiracies too. Your average chithouse democrat is a kiddie diddling, half wit moron. Joe Biden took showers with his daughter and Hunter gave a lap top away full of career ending political dynamite. AOC has her intellect stretched to its snapping point slinging beers at the bar. In a serious country all of them would be sent to the camps or pushing a mop at the quickee mart. Is a surgical, precision hit even possible in today's Clown World?

      It's all fascinating to me.
