I got out of the services at the li’l chapel out in the country today - and I’m just flummoxed. Like - completely fuzzbarred. A lot of us are, given the events of the last week. It’s been like that all week. I’m so mentally constipated that I can’t think! Like - awhile back, I was on a respectable Stubfart blog where the guys were talking about that poor Ukranian girl that got murdered by a violent, obviously psychotic black supremist moron.
The guys on that blog tut-tutted and waved their bony fingers in admonition: always avoid crowds! I was no better: “avoid stupid people in stupid places,” I parroted. Then Charlie got assassinated. In church today the speecher got up there and told us all “not to lose hope and place our faith in Christ for that is the sole source of hope we have in this fallen world. All we can do is pray for God to reveal his wisdom and glory to these monsters that would prey on us.
I am not as disgusted with the stubfarts or the moderates as I am in myself. “Avoid stupid places full of stupid people” I say, again. Well Filthie, you hare lipped retard: define a stupid place full of stupid people for us, will ya?
What does that mean? A subway or public LRT train? A college or university campus? Church…? The guys responsible for killing Charlie are all over social media telling us Charlie brought it on himself and the rest of us better shut up or we’ll get the same treatment. The guys in Church today are telling me to pray for the victims and the perps. The bad guys in all this have a documented history of killing millions by the time they get spun up. This isn’t the end… I think it’s just getting started.
I dunno, guys. I try to be a Christian but to me… Charlie Kirk did not die for the glory of God and the right to free speech. He was gunned down like a dog in front of his wife and kids, by a wind up toy built in our higher education institutions - who are nothing more than clown factories now. Our churches are going the same way.
I really dunno if I’m going to go back to the church next week. Or the one after that. I love the people, I agree with most of their sentiments … but it sounds to me like Christians are using their faith to justify cowardice as they sit on their hands and let literal demons and monsters kill their kids and destroy our civilization. How’s a poor Ukranian immigrant going to get around without a car? Feral blacks burn down their own neighborhoods and loot grocery stores there so that nobody can do any business or even buy food - and they blame Whitey for the problems they create for themselves? Fuck that, pardon my fwench.
Ughhhh. It’s been a tough week. All I gotta say to my leaders is this - at some point you better start doing your fricken jobs … and soon… or we’ll get someone in there who can.
BFYTW
But whadda I know? If you have a better take on things… let me know, will ya? God knows… It’s not the first time I’ve looked at things from the wrong vantage point.

Don't be bummed G, what you're experiencing is Entropy. It's inescapable just like your shadow so embrace it and find the bright side therein.
ReplyDeleteChutes Magoo
Gods kingdom, no entropy. Satans kingdom, ruled by entropy.
DeleteUghhh… I’m thinking too much again…π
DeleteJesus told his disciples that if they did not have a sword, sell their cloak, and buy a sword. There is a mighty sermon in that command. As a metaphor, a cloak is what you conceal yourself with, to act as a barrier betwixt you, and the harsh realities of the physical and psychological world. A sword, however, requires knowledge, awareness, intelligence, and resolve for it to be of use. Sure, there is a level of deterrence by the visible presence of a sword, but it will not act of it's own volition. Again, metaphorically, become empowered and ready to defend that which is right, and destroy that which opposes or threatens your safety. Always remember, your safety extends to those around you.
ReplyDeleteWhoo this is a hornet's nest kicked over.
DeleteAfter John the Baptist was executed for standing up for morality, Jesus changed his teaching of the "Coming Of the Kingdom of God". I believe at that time he knew that the Jews would never except him and it was the case of setting up for the "Branch Believers" aka gentiles. Jesus knew also that in order for them to "Take him" he has to be arrested for something besides homelessness. They needed a capital charge. like Sedition.
As far as the sword goes, it also applies to the "purse"
Defend (sword) and prepare for the future (purse).
If anything this will become a galvanizing event that will rush us toward the end of this age.
No where does the Word say that we have to sacrifice ourselves to a monster. In fact there is a thing called "Self Death" which is a form of suicide which is completely forbidden to the Christian. It's call by many names. MAID, even tempting God, it is wishful thinking. If there is any amongst you who thing Christians don't get raped, slaughtered, abused, or is won't ever happen to you then you are deluded. Turn the other cheek does not apply when your life is in danger. That is a quick death.
Even the commandment "Thou shall not Kill" is mistranslated. It should read "Thou shall not take vengeance". sic- greek after the fact. When the guy is not longer a threat. I myself would have problems adhering to that one.
Safe spaces? There are none. Almost 3 weeks ago a monster shot all those kids in church. So putting your faith in God for your personal protection? Yep, that is a start, Pray before you travel for sure, but is doesn't end there. You are responsible for your own safety, just like on a job site. Our lives are not to be just thrown away because a soulless animal wants to take it. I could be quite comfortable seeing two ushers in suits, standing at the door with AR's doing over-watch for Gods people. Greater Love hath no Man than he who would lay down his own life for another.
No more soft targets!
The man who watches a monster do evil to his family will forever regret he did absolutely nothing to stop it.
It has to be something like that, P. I am not a theologist or a linguist…. But you cannot convince me that we are supposed to roll over and take stuff like this and God intends it. I have no qualms about squaring up with our Maker… but I think we are supposed to square off with evil in the course of that…not ignoring it… but whadda I know?
DeleteChristians have been at both extremes. Tossed to lions or fighting in Crusades. Choose wisely.
ReplyDeleteYou and I agree on much, much more than we disagree on. For what it's worth, I'd say you're on the right track. I happen to be in a very similar frame of mind.
ReplyDeleteBitterness does not look good on either of us JL. I need more than nauseating sanctimony from our leaders and something concrete… or it’s just talk…
Deleteif you wan't something done ya got to do it yourself. i do not condone violence in any way but standing up for and defending ones self and others against EVIL is the christian way to do it. if they want to FA then they will FO.
ReplyDeletei'm sorry, but i left organized religion a long time ago for many reasons, mostly because of the attempted mind at control by all of them.
( believe in what i tell you and do what i tell you or you will go to hell ) Phtt, FUCK THEM.
I'm old fashioned, i believe in Chivalry. to pray for enlightenment and forgiveness, to protect women and children, the old and and the weak, infirmed or those truly in need, to my death.
"A coward dies a thousand times before his death; the valiant never taste of death but once". WS
Chivalry meant something not to many years ago but now it's a lost word only to be found in the dictionary or history books.
it's a code that an honorable man use to live by.
Honor, remember that word, its passed around stil, but how many know the true definition or live by it ?
case in point- look at the 3 people sitting next to that poor girl Iryna Zarutska on that train when she was brutally stabbed and NOT ONE person lifted a finger to help her, not one. it's a sad commentary on our society and what we have become as a species.
Funny enough, the Sunday School teacher yesterday opined that he was morally against having men with guns protecting the Church, he was fully trusting in God to do the protecting. Note that we hire off-duty policemen to stand by the doors each service. I'm sitting there stewing, thinking if God gave us wisdom and financial resources to hire security, then we should damn well hire security. That's God's protection for us. That and the .38 on my belt. In times past I've known more than a few men who carried, but among the geezers that day I'm not so sure. But hey, I guess guns are icky or something.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm glad we didn't get into current events yesterday too much, I don't think I could have sat thru it. We don't need Christian pacifists right now, we need Christian Crusaders. I don't know how we get back to that point, but that's what we need.
Agreed. π
DeleteSorry Glen, we live among oceans of idiots. Since the clot shots, the oceans have been rising.
