His crew had two elk tags and they filled them both. I am simply GREEN with envy!!! 🤬🤬🤬

The bullet is a 6.5mm 140gr  Hornady - I think the boys got him with a 6.5 PRC…? If I recall, Pete shoots a 6.5-284. I had the chance to buy one in a Ruger No.1 but foolishly passed on the opportunity.  I suppose I could re-barrel my existing No.1… but I dunno if it’d be worth it. I don’t have much interest in the big moose and elk anymore. According to Pete both were short shots and both critters collapsed within 10 steps or so. 

This weekend I’m going out with the 20 bore after grouse with my trusty, cheezy Turkish Perazzi.
