Hmpfffff. 🤨
And 99.99999999999etc % of all naturally occurring mutations result
in monsters that don’t survive to reproduce. The odds against
one producing a viable competitive organism
are orders of magnitude higher.
And the Big Bang - the largest cataclysmic explosion
in the universe - produced ordered astrophysics that run with the
precision of a Swiss watch.
Supposedly this creation exists in 10 dimensions of
which our atheist friends barely
understand three.
They are so stupid, they’re not worth arguing with.
“ And the Big Bang - the largest cataclysmic explosion
ReplyDeletein the universe - produced ordered astrophysics that run with the
precision of a Swiss watch.”
That’s a completely bogus comment. No one with access to even a backyard telescope would ever claim the universe could be likened to a Swiss watch. It runs on the kind of chaos one would expect from an explosion (really more like an uncontrolled expansion)
Chaos and entropy may make perfect sense from a couple dimensions up, A. What do you really know, from down here in the 3rd dimension? We don’t even know if light is a wave or a particle. The latest double-slit light experiments that indicate photons and electrons can “tell” if they are being observed! They also infer that the particles can interact with each other across time. How many Swiss watches do you have to see to believe there are Swiss watch makers?
Delete> They are so stupid, they’re not worth arguing with.
ReplyDeleteYou really think that? So, Stephen Hawking is a drooling moron, in your opinion?
And nevermind that we can observe evolution happening right now, in our time and world. (Yes, that's really true.)
If the big bang is so implausible, then ponder: where did God come from? Oh, that's a mystery? But we're all good with that, while we ignore the things we can observe in modern physics and biology.

The theory of evolution by natural selection is mathematically impossible, given the observed rate of stable, beneficial mutations, the size of DNA, and the size of viable populations.
DeleteYou must be a math denier!
I’m sorry Jed. I retract that comment about atheists. BUT - Classical Darwinism is all but in the trash can. I’ll throw that kangaroo example in the poost right back at you, though: early hominid skeletons are cropping up all over the world. There’s no trail of bones linking them back to Africa - which in turn shitcans the idea we are all descended from proto humans that originated in Africa and that we evolved from them. And as McC says…fish cannot naturally “evolve” into amphibians, who cannot turn into reptiles, who cannot turn into mammals. Genetic science proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt.
DeleteI am not arguing the infallibility of the Bible. I am contesting the idea that we can throw creationism out wholesale because science is infallible and trumps biblical mythology. Sometimes it does, but at least the Bible acknowledges a supreme being, it acknowledges human fallibility and immorality - and the presence of evil. Evil, by the way, that science has often paved the way for.
Watching a show on netflix about ancient cultures, and it seems every culture has some version of a great flood in the past. The date seems to coincide with the end of the last ice age about 10K years ago.
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen it. The idea of civilizations pre-dating the prevailing scientific orthodoxy is almost overwhelming. Archeologists have been unhappy with the transition of hunter-gatherers to civilized agrarian cultures. The transition - in terms of cultural advancement - occurs in the blink of an eye. Under orthodox science… these guys literally went from cavemen to farming, using simple machines, irrigation and writing … in a couple hundred years.
DeleteThe DENIAL is strong in the 1st 2 commenters. The atheist and non atheist astrophysicists all agree that the percentages and distribution of the universe (as we think we know it) would have crashed long ago, BUT FOR the precise balance of matter, energy and gravity.
ReplyDeleteThe whole evolution theory has been scientifically and mathematically debunked on the grand scale. Sure finches beaks get shorter and tougher if the flora toughens up over time. But nobody has found ANY missing links where a species turns into a completely different species.
So sure, likely it ended up like that for absolutely no reason at all.snarc
Micro-evolution I can understand - one species of birds survives because their beaks are a slightly better shape for getting food versus another almost identical species of bird with a slightly different beak. Ok, I can buy that.
ReplyDeleteMacro-evolution? No. Cats didn't mysteriously evolve into dogs. Cross-species evolution just doesn't occur. Macro-evolution doesn't explain all the types of life here on the planet. It just doesn't work.
As for the big bang? I have no fucking clue, and neither does Stephen "drooling moron" Hawking. Pretty sure the Bible version is greatly simplified so that stone age era shepherds could understand it, so it's not a scientific text book. We're pretty much one century in with "leading scientists" telling us the lie about oil being dino-juice when it ain't, so if we can't trust them on that I sure as hell ain't really trusting them on anything else important.
I'll go with God being the great watchmaker and leave it at that.
Yep. I suppose one would have to ask: if a being that can master 10 dimensions were to talk to us today… would we be able to understand him and talk back…? Would our interpretation of his words be accurate? For me the biblical mythology may be riddled with contradictions and scientific non-starters… but the intent of those biblical voices comes straight from God Himself. Going against those words and voices inevitably leads to strife, anger and unhappiness. We see this everywhere nowadays… whether it’s agnostics or Christians doing it. My experience is that shithouse atheists and agnostics can cherry pick passages and misquote them out of context… but most of them do the same with science too.
DeleteToo often these people bow down to scientists as the ultimate authority and they know as much about real science as they do of the Bible.
The Ark would have come to rest on the foot of the mountain. not at the top. Science and the Bible do not disagree on the order of creation. Evolution is proven by simple comparisson of humans over the years. We know that the average Greek soldier was around 5'2" by examining their armor. The average Greek male today is much taller. Simply put, God controls evolution.
ReplyDeleteNutritional changes gave the Japanese from WW2 to their children towering over them now.
DeleteAny number of photos of eastern European parents with their much better fed children and grandchildren much taller than them shows the same.
Not evolution, sir. Better and more food.
I am 6’ on the knocker in height. I walked past a school bus-stop a few weeks back and most of the kids - even the young girls - were taller than me. The don’t think it’s “more or better” food. I suspect it’s the hormones IN that food that has made the difference. Same thing happened with my year at school & our parents - most of us tower over our folks.
DeleteI suspect it is the hormones in our food. Young girls stop growing taller once they get their menses - and the number of tall girls is unbelievable. I look around my office, and there is only ONE woman who is 6 ft tall. There’s probably 300 people here (70% female), so it’s a reasonable sample size.
