It’s a place down by CowTown (Calgary) where the natives ran herds of buffalo over a cliff. My idiot father in law used to talk about why natives were such good stewards of the land and environMINT. Seriously - that guy’d give ridiculous sanctimonious lectures about how the red skins lived in perfect peace, with each other and the land… only taking from the land that which they needed to survive. “They lived in perfect harmony with each other and nature!!!”
To be fair he’s not the only retard I’ve heard talking that way.
The injuns used to shit all over the place in and around their encampments during the frozen winters and were compelled to move as the spring thaw revealed said turds and the corresponding stench! It never occurred to them to just shit in an hole like their white 'colonizers'!

I bet your he wasn't routinely anywhere within 100 miles of any natives while ensconced in his clean, safe, and probably homogenously white suburban enclave, and if a native happened to wander in while lost, he'd probably be on the phone to the Edmonton Police Service so fast it'd set his ear on fire.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived within 20km of one rez or another in AB I have a very different thought on 1st nations. When they come to town for groceries or booze they often toss the garbage out of their vehicle on the ground. We hear gun shots and fireworks every night and often they call our fire department because their trucks have had the batteries stolen.
