Interesting

I dunno what to think of these guys. 🤨

I’ve heard that they’ve accepted the rainbow crowd and if so…? Welp, to me that’s a fallen church so to hell with them and to hell with their church because I have no use for them. But… kicking Israel in the balls (or at least, tweaking their long collective nose) - is something that really needs to be done right now. Their conduct in the Gaza is despicable and they need to be better people or we need better friends.

And that brings up another can of theological worms. Was Jesus a jew? Like - I know he was raised as one but… He made them so damned mad that they tried to kill him and were so perfidious and odious that they got the Romans to do their dirty work for them. They’ve oppressed Christians in their lands ever since. But the elders at the li’l chapel out in the country think jews are our biggest friends and allies.

Whatever. I got my own blackened soul to deal with and can’t spare the time to worry about theirs.

    1. LOL, Sweetie. It depends. All the Methodists I know are very conservative and don't have any patience for the rainbow crowd and their supporters. But I'm from the Methodist Mecca of Kansas. Episcopalians/Anglicans, on the other hand... By the way, do you know when you are in Kansas? The town has three churches (a Methodist, a Baptist, and something else), a grain elevator, and a beer joint.

  3. The United Methodist Church (UMC) is, in my opinion, corrupt. The welcome perverts into their services and ignore the sinful nature of the things that they make welcome.

For instance, if I drink to excess, am I welcome in your church? How about if I show up drunk, or show up with a hip flask from which I take a little fortification during services? I'm begging the question here, but the truth is that I'm welcome, but I am not welcome to show up drunk.

As for Jesus, He was a Jew. Consider that the entire Old Testament was in preparation for Jesus' arrival. Meantime, the Jews became prideful and exclusive. They were God's chosen, and they tended to shun the goyim (that's us, by the way). The Jews were expecting someone that looked like a cross between Doc Savage and Conan the Barbarian, and that combined the leadership abilities of Attila the Hun with the diplomatic skills of Genghis Khan. Instead they got an average looking, affable sort who went around healing and feeding people and preaching love and devotion to the Lord. He didn't support the pharisees or the current culture, so they killed him. But - ha-ha! - He came back to life as was predicted, and that was that. Day one of Christianity had started.

The Jews are God's chosen, and they were chosen to spread Christianity. They failed and rejected Jesus, but the gentiles / goyim, never slow to spot a good thing when they see it, snatched up the Lord Jesus and told the Jews that if you don't want Him, we'll take Him.

Are the Jews our allies? Sorta-kinda. Maybe. Well, it depends now, doesn't it? They'll be allies until it doesn't benefit them, then the alliance will be more neutrality than anything else. One thing is for certain sure, the Muzzies are not our allies and probably never will be.

Like you, I've got my own problems. So I guess I'll just keep praying and thanking the Lord for what I've got, keep my heart open, my powder dry, and my pistol under my pillow.

    2. Well thanks for that Jack, but… I think it supports my contention that he is not. His positions on things were anathema to the Tribe at the time. If Jesus was a palm rubbing money grubbing happy merchant…then you could say he was a Jew. Ya see what I’m getting at? He basically rejected Judaism… did he not?

  4. Mentioned to a Methodist about the biblical injunction to pray. He acted like he had never heard of either the Bible or prayer.

  6. Jesus was a devout practicing Jew. The focus of His ministry was on Jews. This was demonstrated by such things as the healing of the Caananite woman's daughter in Matthew 15:

"Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.”And her daughter was healed at that moment."

Early Christianity was a Jewish sect until the ministry of Paul, a year or so after His crucifixion and resurrection.

    1. Wel, Jesus rather pointedly held out the Good Samaritan (a people who the snooty Jews loathed) as being a vastly better human than the prideful Jews. Jesus seemed to be getting pretty skeptical about The Chosen People as the be all and end all of humanity, and the only people who mattered in God’s eye. Take that as you will, but that parable always stuck out in my mind as a shot across the bow betokening a new day of judging people by their characters and their faith rather than by their bloodlines.

  8. Jews deny the divinity of Jesus.

A Judean, a Hebrew, of the tribe of Judah, but never a Jew.

  9. Jesus referred to Jews as the Synagogue of Satan. God's not happy with people who reject Him and His son.

  12. For anyone who’s ever read the Bible, you know that the greatest critic of Israel was God himself. Israel repeatedly turned against God, embraced wicked ways, abandoned God's law and wrote their own crooked laws, and turned against morality. It's all in the Old Testament.

Today's Zionist-funded media would declare God to be "anti-semitic," no doubt. Or even the Torah. But the timeless TRUTH in all this is that Israel has long been a nation of evil sadistic people who turned against God and learned the hard way that turning against God resulted in the demise of their nation. It appears Israel is on course to repeat the same mistakes again, thousands of years later, because ISRAEL IS A NATION THAT HAS TURNED ITS BACK ON GOD and now promotes abortion, transgenderism, child mutilations, genocide, rape, torture and more. Israel's present-day actions simply cannot be reconciled with the word of God and the laws he repeatedly described. Just read Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy if you doubt. If he would speak on this matter in 2024, I’m certain that God would say, without question, "Israel has become evil."
