Ya know I woulda made a great Marine if I wasn’t so chicken. The original killer drones were pretty much bad jokes when they first appeared on the battlefield. They pretty much still are. Even with the wire guided big heavy lifters… they are very much still a niche weapon. The new high performance outboard brushless motors now can deliver meaningful payloads* over very short distances.
It has been a spectacular success as a surveillance tool and, ironically, a psyop/terror weapon. I’ve seen blood n’ guts green bean Marines and squaddies like Matt Bracken and Tiny shit their pants in fright as they contemplate these things and while I wouldn’t dismiss them idly with impunity… I’d be far, FAR more concerned about some batshit crazy Russian with an RPG7 or their fricken artillery! On the battlefield these things are not the game changer that hysterics trump them up to be. The average Marine is as good with a mop as he is with a rifle and should be able to counter these things easily enough! HAR HAR HAR!

The good news is that Blumpf and Putler had a good meet. When the business guys outnumber the war hawks at a peace talk… you’re on the way to better things. Everyone on the left is mocking and ridiculing and obsessing over what was said. My take on it is that the meeting wasn’t about Russia and America - it was a signal to the Ukes, the Euros and the rat faced jews and neocons here at home: the big dogs are going to end this. Get your ducks in a row, get onside, or GTFO. But…whadda I know? There’s a lot of egos, a lot of moving parts and a lot of momentum in this nonsense…and stopping it won’t be easy.
We’ll see I guess.

For the last year and a half, drones have caused 60% of all casualties in UKR. Artillery, missiles and glide bombs account for 30%. The PBI only account for about 10% of the casualties inflicted - but they're the most important part.

General Aesop and his experts spout numbers and stats based on…what, exactly? Anyone that’s involved with this who isn’t an idiot - is a liar with an agenda. The numbers I heard is that artillery is responsible for the vast bulk of Uke losses. Who knows? As for me…I build small hobby drones and fly them. I know what they can and can’t do. The empirical evidence pops the lie. When Zelensky holds his hand out… he wants tanks, missiles and airplanes. He distinctly does not want weaponized hobby drones.

Our commentariat have no clue what they're talking about. They're still criticizing Russia for not engaging in maneuver warfare in a battlefield of trenches and "if you can see it, you can kill it". The Russians always included attrition as one of the major forms of warfare. Our idiotic generals discarded it generations ago, much to our detriment.

He wants it neutral, and he wants fair trade deals. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the closed door meetings.
