Stupidity Theory

I have an enquiring mind (STFU Cederq! Don’t say it!!!) One of the many subjects that has escaped the attention of my formidable intellect - is how the mechanics of stupidity actually work. But that entails the study of psychology - another subject of which I know virtually nothing.

I think everyone is born stupid to some extent or another. Is it possible that a lot of it depends on how well insulated you are from the consequences of your stupidity you are? A lot of our politicos have been stupid their entire lives. We’d all like to think that stupid people eventually run into Darwin, Murphy or God in a universe that revolves on some kind of karmic wheel… but in real life morons live out rich and rewarding lives while others pay for their imbecility - often with their lives.

I’ve come to suspect that maybe it makes sense when viewed from a couple dimensions up from ours? To effectively deal with stupidity down here in the unplumbed, unthinking depths … about the best we can do is hope to save ourselves. How many perfectly good Ukranian kids died simply because some idiot told them to?

One thing is for sure - if you need to study stupidity objectively… you have to leave your emotions out completely.
