Jerry Can Faggotry 🀬

It’s gotta be a shitlib retard responsible for this? Other suspects might conceivably include Californians or newfies. You gotta be dumber than a gold fish to come up with a system like this. Gas cans have become even MOAR retarded since I last bought one. My favourite cans now have aftermarket red caps with any stock fripperies either disabled or thrown away. Instead of spouts I just use funnels now. We shouldn’t have to live like this.

  1. Jerry cans were changed several times over the last decade because of government mandates. This is the poster child of govt regs screwing things up and making them worse.

  2. "Other suspects might conceivably include Californians or newfies." Conceivably, NOTHING! It WAS the collective loon coven in Sacramento that came up with these damned stupid cans! Somewhere on the can it will say "CARB Compliant." "CARB" is the California Air Resource Board. And it goes without saying that they were mandated by people who have NEVER USED A GAS CAN IN THEIR USELESS, UNPRODUCTIVE LIVES! There's also an outfit on Amazon that sells retrofit spouts that bring those CARB cans back into compliance with REALITY. I prefer those to noggerigging the existing spout. Better yet, go for the 5-gallon "off-road" cans that have a hose on them. Somehow those flew under the Sacramento Loony Bin's radar.

  3. I can't remember having to buy a gas can. We just used the can that came with the house, which was probably given to my old Dad in the late 1940s. Dad managed a small truck line and if he needed anything, the owner was quick to provide it. That included a company pick up truck. The other cans, which dated back to the 1930s, were at my grandparent's house. You had to use a funnel with them, which they had. I used the first funnel my old Granddad bought, which went with his first car.

None of the cans were red, and I think one had a Marathon decal on it. What you did was opened the can and took a whiff of the contents. If it was gasoline, you filled the lawn mower. It it was Fuel Oil, you went and found the other can and repeated the sniff test.

Just what the problem was with that is beyond me.
