Canada’s North is guarded by drunken, shit faced First Nations Freeloaders and the idea of them being any kind of real tactical force is - a farce! The only way those snow monkeys survive up there is by loading up their bloodstream with antifreeze! I saw them and their new “service rife” for the goat rodeo it was when it first got started. I think I read somewhere the unit cost on one of those is over $3k - but don’t quote me on that. It’s gotta be up there… it’s supposedly a Sako but it looks like a badly pimped Tikka to me. It’s not like those snow niggers would ever tell the difference I suppose. I’m sure there’s plenty of white liberal fart catchers mixed up in this debacle as well.

Hrmpffffffff. Now if I were in charge of the situation I’d buy a Tupperware Ruger American in .308 and call it good. I bought my little 223 carbine for $800.00 and change. The little gun goes barely under MOA right out of the box. With a $1200.00 Swarovski scope (yes - it IS worth putting glass like that on the econo-gun) - we’re at around $2000.00. Polycarbonate stocks handle -30C just fine.
It’s stuff like this that makes me hate Canadians. I’d love to see Alberta become the 51st state…๐
People are stupid. GovernMINT people are stupider.
ReplyDeleteI second the econo Ruger in 308 or 6.5 Creed (or Swede).
What a shame those Tikkas have shit stocks. They look great apart from a 20” barrel, I’d like 24” or 26” on a 308. I actually thought about buying one as an “investment” but they are so expensive down here in Australia - it was cheaper to buy a Sako Bavarian in 270. Horses for courses but something about the Bavarian REALLY floats my boat. Plus open sights for when your scope shifts in the mounts or something equally silly. Just wish the Bavarian was SS rather than blued.
ReplyDeleteWho was the original contractor, and may we see their financials and possible relatives and associates?
ReplyDeleteHow long were the acceptance trials, under what conditions, and who supervised?
Was there a Plan B?
Why $1700 per rifle to fix....whose quote is that and whose relations are they?
What other solutions were investigated.....aftermarket stocks, WEST epoxy treatments, etc.
What are the usage and care regulations, and are the personnel equipped, trained and able to follow them?
I'm for giving California to Mexico and taking in Alberta. Don't even have to change the flag.
ReplyDeletePathetic when "the best" bolt action of 2015 can't run with a rifle accepted for service in 1895.
ReplyDeleteFor want of a nail... Just shows you that you have to get ALL of the details right.
Tupperware?!? LOL. HEY! I got one of those things! 400 bucks. I'll be using that modifier for it from now on.
