Well I finally done it.
I’ve always been a dry camper. I whiz and chit in the woods with the bears and they get the worst of it! If there’s an outhouse I will use it because I am the stinkiest mofo in the smelliest Valley Of Death. I put up my camper and only run the AC and furnace… otherwise I’m outside.
But yesterday I came into the 21st century. For the first time since I bought it - I got the hot water heater and fridge up and running. The indoor stove and kitchen works now too. So does that make me a wet camper…?
I’m off today to the gun club to do some serious shooting. I haven’t been able to really shoot this year because the Niglet doesn’t like live fire and is turned inside out in the truck. When I actually got to sit down I ended up baby sitting the noobs, calling their shots, showing them the basics of sighting in, and letting them shoot my guns.
Hunting season’s gonna be here before i know it too. It always is. I’ve got a half section all to myself this year and I’m actually looking forward to having all the comforts of home at my finger tips. Thursday and Friday may be a blog write off… but seriously therapeutic for me. Next week I have to go and take delivery of 40 lbs. of lead from Poli. I haven’t been able a little here too but even that is marginal - 40 lbs sounds like a lot of lead… but you’d be surprised how fast it goes, especially when you’re casting for the big BPCR buffalo guns.
I hope you guys are ahead of your chores and on top of your preps for hunting season.
Cheers!
Filthie
Sounds like great plans. Don't overdose on good times and pleasant circumstances, but go ahead and get some shooting done anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'll just hang out here in mild envy.
