007 and his exploits were dumb entertainment from the first episode back in the 60s but they were fun enough for the most part. Bond went for a major dump back when the old Soviet Union collapsed. I’d just wait till his movies came out video or they went on TV for free.
I gave up on Bond for good when they race swapped all the characters for extra Wokeness. Bond’s boss became a frumpy old woman, and his coworkers turned into blacks, pakies, chinks and all the other frooty colours of the rainbow. And of course most of the villains were fat old white guys like yours truly Cederq.
I guess the producers wanted the movie to reflect the realities of current-year Faggot Island…? The last clip I remember from Bond had him riding on the bitch seat of a scooter, driven by some 6’6” goat faced Girlboss sheboon that he’d just shagged.
I just laughed and went back to doing chores. Good thrillers are a real tough proposition these days with the endless Girlbosses and queers. Everything today is an estrogen soaked chick-flick. Oh well…TV is a waste of time and a mind rotter anyways.
Hope you guys are all doing something useful today. Don’t let your brain go rotten - ya might need it one day.
😊👍

Starting with the 2nd paragraph, that is the script of most of the crime shows on Paramount + these days.
ReplyDeleteLashana Lynch as Nomi:
ReplyDeleteA new agent, assigned the 007 number.[17][18] Lynch hoped that her character would bring a new layer of relatability to the world of espionage, saying "When you're dealing with a franchise that has been slick for so many years, I wanted to throw a human spin on it—to deal with anxiety and be someone who's figuring it out, completely on her toes".[19]
In other words, I couldn't leave well enough alone, I had to blackify it.
DeleteCederq resembles that remark
ReplyDelete"goat faced Girlboss sheboon"
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing, good one!
Ian Fleming came from a wealthy family and was educated at Eaton. He worked with Intelligence during WWII, which gave him a certain amount of background and knowledge for the 007 novels.
ReplyDeleteFleming wrote the Bond novels at his home in Jamaica, which he named Goldeneye. The house still stands and features a magnificent view of the beach. He wrote these novels on a manual typewriter set up on a table outside. Many of the characters in the novels were based on people Fleming knew personally, although he didn't reveal this until he'd wrote his final novel in the series. Unlike many of his peers, Fleming had Bond age. At one point Bond is despondent over the death of a woman and begins counting up the number of missions he'll likely be assigned until his retirement. He concludes that there are too many.
I read all the Bond novels until Fleming's death, and have watched a few of the early films. Thunderball is good due to the underwater scenes, but I prefer reading the novels.
The film industry has absolutely ruined the 007 novels. 'M' would never have been a woman. While there are several black characters of note, most get killed off one way or another.
I think I'll go read 'Live and Let Die', and cheer myself up a bit.
I knew I recognized Cederq from some old movie ...
