Lookit this stupid SOB.
Look, folks - I’m not a bolt gun guy. Way I figger it, if some stupid SOB needs killing - or even a group of ‘em… gas guns are the tools for the job! We know this because the world’s best guys at killing sonsabitches - The US Marines - use them. But, if ya go back far enough…there was a time they used bolt guns too.
Unlike this retarded old toad above - they used this tool correctly! When you’re cycling the bolt - your face stays on the stock! Especially if you’re shooting at game or failed liberal social experiments. Doing so increases the speed and accuracy of follow up shots. Ditto for the pump and lever guns except more so!
You can learn the basics of shooting like a Marine right off OyTube! They have training films that go through all of it. Get a marksman’s sling and learn how to use it.
I keep banging on this because old idiots like this will pose as experts and teach the kids this crap too. They’ll miss they won’t hit anything or they’ll shit the bed in the field and have a bad hunting experience. It makes for frustration and then they quit.
Shooting’s a lot more fun if you do it right as opposed to just talking about it.
😊👍
yeah. crap like this I have seen way too often. hell, even when you try to point out what some folks are doing wrong, they back away from you. btw, Mom showed us kids how to shoot. she was on her high school shooting team back in her day.
ReplyDeletebut in the 1/503 PIR, they took shooting to a whole new level.
reason was, you could only carry so much ammo, so you had to make it count. anyway, they made sure everyone could shoot.
with everything. but that was more than 50 years ago now too.
things may have changed a bit. dave in pa.

ReplyDeleteAnd then guys like Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher and Eugene Stoner came along.

Mr. Filthie- I agree. Keep your brain housing down while the bolt is cycled. Use your "millwrights' touch" on the bolt. Start with finger motion, go to wrist motion and move entire arm as a last resort. I also like auto feeders. I think that direct gas impingement business is for heathens, though. Like using your underwears to wipe the 'ol dirt chute
ReplyDeleteI can't expect anyone who thinks 100 yards is "long range" with a rifle to be a good shot at any distance.
