The Alberta Prosperity Project already has 100,000 signatures on a commitment to vote yes on a referendum on Alberta Separation
— Alberta Separation (@albertaseparate) April 29, 2025
Thats more than 56% to a threshold of 177,000
Albertans will get a chance to leave Canada
Let's work on ensuring we get a clear mandate
when we…
That was as of yesterday.
I don’t expect we’ll voot our way out of the biblical financial shit storm we’ve been begging the gods of misfortune for… and miracles, saviours or other strokes of luck are well beyond us… but… if all this endeavour does, is give our new swine minister an ulcer… I will call it a win!
Hopefully Blumpf can cripple the Morontario/Queerbec auto industry with tariffs, and we in Alberta can get a few strokes in with the clue bat too. If all it takes is a signature… why not?
The more I think about it, the more obvious it appears that Carney getting elected as PM was all part of the plan, in that Carney was deliberately installed to help Donald Trump acquire Alberta, and possibly Saskatchewan too, and designate them the 51st state.
ReplyDeleteThe game plan is really quite simple: Carney gets in; he hits the ground running and goes out of his way to alienate and puts hurt on the west; Trump comes in and offers Alberta a better deal. Then presto: Alberta (and possibly Saskatchewan) is the 51st state. It'd be a win for Carney too. Because now he'll have a smaller country with a malleable population that is more supportive of him and would be readily susceptible to his WEF experiments. Carmey doesn't give a rat's ass about Alberta and the west. It's a headache he probably doesn't want to deal with.
Think about it: this is basically the entire MO of the US, particularly USAID and the CIA. This is how they destabilize other countries in the world that they have interests in.
Knowing the significance that a resource rich Alberta would hold in Trump's overall plans, I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't play it this way.
I mean, if you were Trump, would you do it any differently?
Um, Donald Trump is not playing 4D chess. He's playing "The Art of the Deal". People just don't seem to believe that.
DeleteAll the "51st State" thing was intended to do was get Castreaux to stop the illegals coming through the northern border. Why on earth would DJT care other than for that?
I guess we'll see whether Carney is as dumb as Castreaux was. If so, I expect a lot more mockery. Probably including "and I guess that Alberta wants to come south!"
Like Tip O'Neill said, all politics is local. Carney (if he's smart) will realize that.
@Borepatch: I don't think you understand what I am saying here; this IS the Art of the Deal. In fact, in his book 'The Art of the Deal', Trump suggests starting off with an extreme demand; this way, you get what you actually want as a 'compromise'. Trump doesn't want ALL of Canada, especially the bitchy shitlib socialists in the east - he has enough of those assholes in California. BUT, and this is very important, he absolutely does want, and needs, the resource rich west, especially if he wants to reinvigorate America's manufacturing base...something he has repeatedly declared is a priority for him. THIS is the main reason Trump is doing this; it has absolutely nothing to do with illegals, fentanyl, tariffs, or anything else suggested in the official narrative.
DeleteTrump is very aware that Canada, and the liberal government, has no leverage to fight him with. He also knows that they have no intentions or capacity to secure the border to the degree they'd need to. This is why Trump was comfortable with making the deal that it seems very obvious to me that he did.
Mark Carney, as someone who is a fervent globalist who has zero vested interest in Canada or the very idea of Canada as anything other than an economic zone, is simply here to facilitate this. He has no intentions of fighting Trump whatsoever, let alone advocate for what he, too, believes is a decadent, post national state. All he has to do is keep turning up the heat on the west and stoke the national divide. What's in it for Carney, you might think? Well, see my posts below: without Alberta and those 'right wing malcontents' in the west, he now gets a de-facto supermajority government and can carry out his other plans (CBDCs, civilian disarmament, 15 minute cities, etc.) on what's left of Canads, virtually unhindered.
And really, a good deal that work is already done. East/west divide in Canada, espeicially Alberta separation sentiments, are at an all time high. The Alberta Prosperity Project perition that Exile1981 posted elsewhere on this blog has already reached 225,000 signatures...in just 36 hours! And it's still growing.
I think the deal has already been made. All Trump has to do now is wait.
Anything’s possible, JL. *SOMETHING* was definitely going on, and I’m sorry… but I think Pee Pee was in on it. Consider - he was kicking the stuffing out of Turdo on a daily basis. Say what ya want - that little shit was articulate and well spoken and could think on his feet. Then, Turdo’s gone, Carney is in… and he goes totally limp? Pull my other finger, PP - it has bells on it! Gimme a break!
ReplyDeleteI dunno if I agree with your theory though? Carney is a money man - and assuming he works for Canada and not some globalist cabal (a BIG assumption)… he’s gonna need everyone in Canada for his fight with Blumpf. There is a shit load of money in Alberta and given the economics that’ll come from a prolonged trade war, he’s going to need everyone in cent he can screw out of us. Retaining Alberta and the west as an economic insurance policy if your economy tanks is good sense.
Not saying you’re wrong - there’s to many hidden moving parts for me to sort out so whadda I know? One thing is clear - the system was fed up with Turdo and he had to be dispensed with by any means possible.
Maybe I'm out to lunch (wouldn't be the first time) but to me, that's the icing on the cake: there ISN'T going to be a 'big fight' with Blumpf. Think about it for a second: what is there to fight about? What weapons does Canada have to fight the US with? And most importantly, what does Canada gain in the certainly improbable event that they take on the US and win? This 'elbows up' bullshit is just for show. Cheap theatrics just to distract from what may actually be going on.
DeleteThe original plan may have been for Trudeau to roll this out, but because he basically blew his wad with the Canadian people, they needed the shakeup - Carney, being relatively unknown WEF acolyte - was the inevitable option.
The thing is, you're right: Carney is a money man AND a globalist. Unlike Smol PP, he is most definitely NOT a populist - he did a very poor job of pretending to be one during his campaign. Yes, there is loads of money in Alberta in the resource sector - especially in oil and gas....which Carney, ever the green zealot, has made very clear that he has NO intentions of using or capitalizing on.
Carney, reputedly an authoritarian (nit atypical of his ilk in the globalist crowd) appears to be more interested in technocracy: digital IDs, CBDCs, 15 minute cities, and the rest of that WEF claptrap. To him, humans are the resource to be managed. I think he knows he will get considerable pushback on these initiatives in the west than he would in the east.
As for Smol PP, he was a one trick pony. He also had the easiest job in Canada: pointing out Trudeau's fuckups. Anyone could have done that job and been a rockstar. Without that, he was just another limp dicked neocon who spat out shitty slogans. But in the end, he played his part. He will probably collect his pension and go home, along with Jagmeat.
DeleteI keep saying it: it's all baked in the cake, my flatulent friend. 😉
Hrmmmmm.
DeleteThe first paragraph makes perfect sense. Even China is negotiating with the US now. Carney has to know there is no way he will win anything in a fight with the US. Most likely - there’ll be some back room closed discussions and then they’ll both come out announcing some new deal and both claiming to be heroes and scoring big victories. Doug Ford was trying to do that when he supposedly went south to intimidate the bad orange man.
🤣
Is Carney an environmentalist? Or is it just a profitable grift for him? Was Turdo? I might argue that both men have no moral compass, no principles, and no ethics - they see the world in terms of money and power. Does your theory hold if that true?
You make a powerful case JL, and no bones about it. But something is sticking in my craw about it. I can’t put my finger on it… yet. One thing that doesn’t sit right with me is that to do as you propose… would take planning, sophistication, organization, contingency planning and discipline.
From… those guys…?
Mark Carney is most DEFINITELY an environmentalist. For proof positive, see that shitty book he wrote, 'Value(s)'. He is 100% diehard about that ESG horseshit....along with every other crackpot WEF scam.
DeleteAs for the rest of it, yes...there would have been some interesting conversations had, starting with the one Blumpf had with Big Trudy at Mar-A-Lago, just after Blumpf got re-elected. This is purely speculation, but essentially, what I think happened is that Trump made clear his intentions for taking portions of Canada to Trudy and the shitlibs, Trudy knew he had no cards to play to stop him, and so Trump did what he always does: he made them a deal.
What we may well be seeing here is that deal playing out. Then again, I could he way off base too. But it just seems so obvious to me.
"Those guys" may be puppets, but their handlers are quite sophisticated. There's no limit to the labyrinthine schemes they can finance and slow/fast push.
DeleteWe still have plenty of "free" states (in the South) that would love to have you as a neighbor, pick one, or do like my niece and her husband did.
When they got fed up with Commiefornia, they sold their El Cajon, postage stamp size lot, with nice older track home and everything else, for a medium fortune.
Then they moved into an apartment in western Virginia. Then spent the next several months, researching, traveling, vacationing, ALL over the South. They figured out that the cost of living was about the same everywhere in the South (outside of big cities).
They chose eastern Tennessee because they figured out, it was friendliest and didn't have a state income tax.
She's smart, got all the right degrees (just got her PHD) for her teaching career. She's on her 4th school district in 5 years, because they "head hunted" her and offered her MOAR money to move up to a better, higher paying job. Her salary is well north of 100k now and she lays out the contract. Every move has led to better satisfaction professionally, teaching. She inevitably gets promoted into department head positions where she is useful and appreciated.
You too have valuable skills, professionally, you could, likely find rewarding work, or something. We also have a lot of RCable air space down here, with no steenkeeng badges or permits!
