Well my V Tail Trash Plane is almost ready for its first flight. The assholes that run our RC club managed to get themselves evicted and are supposedly going to another field … 45 miles away from here. I swear, they’re trying to piss everyone off and get them to quit.
Fine by me, I guess. U’ll just fly rogue and to hell with the stubfarts, Transport Canada and all the other fart suckers that are trying to destroy an otherwise fun and harmless hobby.
Guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do…
Hopefully it lies - well know one way or another soon.

Where is the CoG? From 1st impressions she looks tail heavy, or do you have the battery way up front?

The battery is right in the front nose cone. It’s the letest smidge nose heavy - which I prefer on my planes. The CG is on the arrow shaft spar… so if I have the RPM and prop pitch right…it should fly by my reckoning. But yeah… it’s sketchy AF to look at….

ReplyDeleteI too have been in clubs for hobbies where people got all serious and took the fun out of things and I promptly quit.
There is enough stress in the World as it is, fly your model planes and if anyone has any criticisms, **** them.

ReplyDeleteBy turning a patch of field into a top notch campsite and creating a grass runway you can putt on. It’s right next to a golf course too. They got the punt supposedly for “environmental” reasons… the county says it’s on dedicated marsh lands?
DeleteI personally think a back room land deal with the developers is in the works so they need any excuse to get rid of the stubfarts that are on it now.
