I never did figure out what “white boy summer” was. It was the Current Thing for awhile over at Blab and whatever it was - it had the leftwing lunatics raging, spitting and gobbing about racists and fascists. Knowing that crowd - it probably was! HAR HAR HAR! Heil Whatever-it-was! HAR HAR HAR!
This year I’ve decided it’s time for “White Stubfart Spring”. I was sick most of last week and laid right up with the flu… only getting out again yesterday. Yesterday we only did a short walk out to Stink Finger Slough and back…and the ice was thoroughly rotten. I could still see the merest remains of the winter rink the kids had made.
Today that’s all open water. No ice
in sight…
During our walk the demented 2G Dawg found a few caches of rapidly melting ice and rolled around on them like a spaz. That’s what the little shit does: she rolls around in old rabbit shit and slush, then goes into the sandbox at the playground, rolls around in the mud… and the second she’s home it’s upstairs and she’s sleeping on my side of the bed!!!
🤬
She’s a weird dog. I could never keep Sled Dawg Sallie, Mort or Macey clean but they were long hairs. Hannah is ordinarily spotlessly clean. The old dogs smelled like sewers, but Hannah smells like summer grass. I give her a bath about once a year…? My thinking is if she smells clean and looks clean …why bother? Unlike the other goofs she’s an angel in the tub and is not afraid of soap and water at all…
There were hundreds of them. I think they were filled with little toys or candies?
Today we found a massive Easter Egg deposit out on Dawg Island. I just roared with laughter when I saw it…about a 30 yard stretch beside the path was littered with hundreds of them. Right where all the passing dawgs pee and poop!!! Up at the playground there was a bunch of little tiny toddler kids so I figured we’d stumbled into the middle of some serious business and that we’d better skidaddle before we became a nuisance.
The t-stat on our furnace crapped out a couple days back and I was just shocked. At night it goes down to very close to freezing - maybe even a little below…. But our little house stayed warm and snug. Or as near as I could tell it was… I was doing the freezing sweats from the flu…but I just wrapped up in a blanket in my Lazy Boy chair and was snug as a bug in a rug! The wife said the house held temperature pretty well.
😊👍
I’m gonna skip church tomorrow - there’s some frail seniors there and I want to thoroughly kill this damned bug before I fraternize with them. But I really need to spend more time with them because I think I’m turning into a heathen again from all my hookey.
The spring is here… and not a moment too soon. May your Easter be grand.
Cheers!

You and the missus need to come to Florida for Summer in February. You have a place to stay (with Bourbon and even better Rum). Ping me.
ReplyDeleteI will do so if we ever head down that way BP 😊👍
ReplyDeleteThat offer is seconded from up here in the Frozen Freakin’ for when summer gets to ya. We even got an extra few inches of snow Friday; there’s still a good foot and a half in my back yard. I fully expect to still have this year’s snow left over when next year’s starts….
ReplyDeleteLooks like Niglet got into the Almond M&Ms bag. They are as indigestable as corn FFS!
