I dunno. Consider this ...*ahem*
Who in his right mind wants to ruin a fine bowl of leaf with
a pic of a filthy Irishman on it?
HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR!!!
I better watch my gob or some angry mick will punch my lights out! Okay... let's get serious. This nose-warming pitbull looks interesting...
A little busy on the stem but they're reasonably priced...
and out of stock...
😞
Only $73.00?? Ya can't complain if it's a good smoker...
I buy my tobacco from a little shop right down on Edmonton's UFO froot loop promenade - Burlington on Whyte. The guys are good in there and are always happy to chat. Wonder what they have...
All my pipes have been Brighams... they are Canadian and
one of the few remaining Canadian companies
doing world-class work. $300.00... It's a bit more money than I want to spend though.
239.00... that's not too too bad...
My current pipe is a "three dot" Brigham. I know Brigham and I know what I'm getting when I buy from them. There's all kinds of premium pipe companies out there and for prices the sky's the limit. Unfortunately I have absolutely no expertise on pipes at all. I bought a corn cob and would buy it again just to throw in the truck or camper when I am out and aboot. But they are too fragile for an everyday smoker for me personally. Plus... I just like briars.
I've heard good things about Savinelli from the fops and stinkers that have made an art out of smoking. $215.00 on sale for one day on March 23... I could email in and reserve it ...
The other option is Fleabay and buying a used one and reconditioning it. Problem is there are too many other useless old stubfarts with nothing to do and they're watching it like hawks. Competition for any good finds is fierce. There are really very few deals to be found there.
Then there's the maple blank I have downstairs to consider. But... jeebus... I really like that Savinelli...
Whadda youse guys smoking?
My usual Mixture Scottish Blend in a corn cob nosewarmer.
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm not puffin a stogie, I light up my '70 vintage Preben Holm.
ReplyDeleteFine smoker, it is.
Blather and Blather is another Canadian brand I bought one at Burlington a few years ago, it's a good smoker. I'm kinda fond of Petersons and have 3 they break in nicely and smoke well. I also have a bin full of Missouri Merschaums also good , did I mention they're inexpensive.
ReplyDeleteFunny; the old corncob I had was also one of the best smokers I ever had! It was also as cheap as a dime store whore!
ReplyDeleteThe ones you're showing; I can't even afford to LOOK at one of those!!!
K.P. Peterson Was mine back in the day.
ReplyDeleteMy fav in the past is the Tomato... like this...https://pipesmokersdens.com/threads/pipe-3023-squatting-tomato.18829/

Hmmmm - maybe the good Lord is hinting at a retire-MINT profession for you Glen ? Dirty-birds and dirtier-pipes ??? All hand-made in the Reclusium. Sheeeeet, I might take up smoking now I’m an old man just so I can join the fun. StubFARTS incorporated !
