But… it’s far too late for me. I had opened a bookface account 20 years ago out of curiosity. I poosted two cartoons - which would later come to be called “memes”. The first was a meat sammich that looked suspiciously like a vagene. The other one was a pic of a guy farting on his female co-worker and proudly proclaiming - “Get a load of that one, sister! It’s got EGG in it!” In time retards like me would come to be known as “shit poasters”… but… that was it. That was all I had on my Bookface page. After I did it I just concluded the whole thing was a waste of my time and I suppose it went dormant.
Couple months later I got summoned over to Mom’s. The frumpy old bitch saw it - and had a calf!!! And I mean…that woman shat her pants in RAGE!!! I still remember Pop smirking rudely behind her back as I got reamed out. Then I got marched over to the computer and was told to clean up my page or else!!! But I couldn’t figure out how to find it or remember the password to log in and the old hatchet melted down again! Eventually I figured it out and learned how to delete poosts on it… and then logged out and the account went dormant again and I forgot about it. It had my name on it but nothing else.
Years later it bit me on the ass again: apparently automated algorithms were reaching out to other people and trying to put me in contact with other Bookface users. They must have scraped my emails? Regardless, it was trying to get in contact with my estranged daughter and through back channels, I learned that it was curdling her milk and she had her panties in a twist. At that point I did a web search and shut down my page for good. It was like pulling teeth. I am reminded regularly that I could reactivate it again with just one click of the mouse!
By then there were people getting beaten up by sensitivity mobs for saying the wrong things, people getting canned at work and all the other flubdubbery that comes from saying the wrong things to the wrong people.
I appreciate Elon and Zoidberg trying to clean up their acts… but - no thanks. If I feel like wasting my time foolishly I will do it anonymously at Blab where the rude jokes are to die for… and no one can see me laughing…

I was on faecesbook at one time and got a nasty retort for them because someone didn't like my pictures of a woman drinking coffee bare breasted or a hint of a boob with a coffee cup in her hand. I told them in a reply email to fuck off and delete my account and so many inclusive and demeaning expletives.
ReplyDeleteMany moons ago, when bookface was new, I got an email from a SIL inviting me to join. At the bottom of the email was an "opt out" button. I clicked it, and to my continuing amazement, it worked and I have not been pestered since.
ReplyDeleteMy brother said at the time that he'd heard that it was a good way to get in touch with old classmates, so he tried it. Sure enough, lots of old classmates there, but "None of the cool kids though."
I save my retardery for commenting on your's and a few other blogs. That's probably enough to get me on (((Their))) AI lists. Pretty sure I'm too small a fish to warrant a 4 am swat visit, that and I'm in the hills of Tennessee. So unless they can line up some multi tasking, a trip for me is likely too expensive, because you KNOW bean counters have significant sway over operations.
