The notorious Z Man (whose blog appears here on the blog roll) used to run a semi-regular feature on his blog entitled Xirl Science. The stars of these essays were often young women putting on airs of intellect by poasting claptrap academic papers and theses on ridiculous subject matter. Z ruined music for me by introducing his commentaries with music by Cindi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Every time I hear that toon I crack right up. I think I remember him linking some non-binary female adjacent academic who submitted a paper on how farts are ackshually rape. In all truth - they’re actually rectal poetry!

In any event - why should these girl scholars get to have all the fun? Allow me to provide some collaborative support for this scholar with a poem from my Scottish ancestors? I’ll ask for your undivided attention whilst I orate, pontificate and bloviate! Silence, everyone!

Mikey has the shits again,

Ah cannae use the cludgie.

He’s perched upon the toilet seat -

Half man, half giant budgie!

Ah told ya, Mikey!

Ya shouldnae huv

The lukewarm Tandoori mince!

Now finish 

Before Ah kark mah breeks!!!

And give the toilet bowl

A rinse!

And perhaps, somewhere… a forgotten father bows his head in resignation. If solitude permits… perhaps he weeps for his daughter and the world.
