I sold my pristine 1951 Hi Standard, target, Duramatic, for too much money after I got my Mk lll, 22/45. Cheap, plentiful magazines. No more jams! Super accurate, NOT ammo sensitive! Reassemble with joo tube. Ditto, Johnny Taopi!
Government Mark II. I've got one. It's more accurate than I'll ever be, and it'll eat pretty much anything I feed it, including low velocity rounds.
I've also got a box of Peters 12 gauge shotgun shells, 25 to a box. I've got half a box of old Remington 12 gauge, 4.25 drams to an ounce of shot. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore!
I was thinking the same, a few boxes of Peters ammo and a Ruger. Not a bad combo.

I have a Mark II. It can be a bit...ahem...difficult to reassemble. Otherwise a fine heater. Eats everything I feed it.
