I think I saw that at Budk web site in the past. Looks like a Kabar that grew a blade three times as long and received a tanto point. You could chop some branches - ground shrubbery with that. And if alien reptoid zombies show up, might work on them too.
One, get rid of that stupid "tanto" tip which is not even close to historically accurate. Put a proper Western saber tip on it. And get rid of the sawtooth notches near the handle. Everything else looks good after that.
It's good for fun, training, mayhem, zombies and Commies. Notzees are too neuro adjacent for me to be against them. I have a traditionally made, modern Katana, with a longer than usual handle. Tis a thing of beauty. Also have a Taiwan, stainless version, it's nice enough, definitely the one for attacking 4 to 6 inch, homicidal trees on my 25 acre stump farm (clear cut 25, 30 years ago).
Well durn it, I looked up some feedback on these and there appears there maybe a problem with tang strength. Some complained that light use broke them far too soon. Rats !!
But at least I didn't commit myself into buying one.
Every man needs a close combat weapon. My boys have a sword and a battle axe respectively but me i've always been partial to the halberd.
