I think those are CHIAPPA they fire out of the lower chambers rather than the upper on standard revolvers. Theory is the recoil is more in line with the hand
Are they Matebas? I think that's the right name, it's a Japanese revolver. What makes me think that is that the barrel is on the bottom rather than the top.
Never seen one before - but I can tell I wouldn't want to shoot any hot load with those grips - hard slippery plastic with lots of sharp edges? Jeez, my hand is already hurting just thinking about it. And it's a break-open design? Where the hell is the massive catch to hold the barrel in place? And the hammer looks fake - I'd almost call that a toy.
The only Chiapa I've ever seen (and fired) was polymer. Something like a pound and a half shooting .357 magnum. The barrel was below the cylinder, and it was surprisingly easy to shoot. I posted a range report way back in (I think) 2011.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen a pistol like that, but I'd like to own one.

ReplyDeleteColts, huh? Never seen 'em before either.
ReplyDeleteSeen that design before, on Forgotten Weapons...
ReplyDeleteFires from the bottom of the wheel, reduces muzzle rise.

ReplyDeleteShot a desert eagle in 50ae a couple of times. It required a meat sacrifice to operate it. I think stay with 460.
DeleteDoes bring to mind the old saying about big knife and small ---- well you know what.
ReplyDeleteSo, a little google-fu. Movie prop or repo - from Vash the Stampede anime. Not real.
