My bike has a stereo. Isn’t that the dumbest thing ya ever heard? But the fact is that I’ve gotten used to it. The one I have looks like it came out of a 1974 T Bird and plays 8 tracks. If I had a personal motorcycle theme song it’d be this one. When ya get on the big road bikes even if you’re driving…you feel like a passenger.
It’s too bad that bike doesn’t have a cigarette lighter on it but… I suppose that’s what Bics are for…
My wife is a biker of sorts. One of her favorites is Bob Seger's song 'Roll Me Away'. I don't ride two or three wheels, but if I did, 'Native Son' by John Hiatt is a song I can hear over and over again and give me contentment.
ReplyDeleteFor a long while I did the ipod thing with earbuds on under my helmet. Good for listening to music, not so good for hearing the traffic around me. Luckily I tend to drive with my head on a swivel anytime I'm on 2 wheels. Never did the stupid Harley thing with a stereo you could hear 8 blocks away cause it has to be loud enough to hear over the fricking exhaust. I just find that ridiculous. Now I just listen to the tinnitus buzzing in my ears 24/7.
