ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid all our dads had guns and they hung them up on the walls. The platinum rule for us kids was that playing with them or even touching them was punishable by horrible deaths. They meant it too.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course now that we live in the age of the Empowered Female, and single moms are viewed as heroes rather than failures... you get kidults like these playing with guns. Combine that downward social pressure with a sub-85 IQ... welp... that gene pool is going to clean itself at some point...
My Dad had some civil war Colts in a shadowbox type shelf thing over the couch. No touching allowed unless it was with him and you had better wash your filthy hands first. (I have those pistols now and will always cherish them)
