Ughhhh.
Y’know… I get it. Ya wanna be as precisely matched with your ammo and chamber as closely as possible. Johnny Rotten had these tools on his channel too.
I don’t have to worry about case life with the 223 as I get all my brass out of the garbage can at the range. The kids come in and do a mag dump or two and I kindly sweep up their brass for them when they run out of ammo, HAR HAR HAR!
What I do when I’m fine tuning my sizing die is blacken the shoulder of an empty case with an oil lamp… and run the case through the resizing die until I’m just kissing the shoulder with the die…then I lock ‘er down and call it good. A full blown competitive F Class shooter with a $15,000 dollar rifle *might* see accuracy drop off as the shoulder bumps back a few thousandths of an inch… but your average hunter and gun club duffer probably won’t. Especially off hand when things get windy…😂👍
I’ve been reloading for 40-some years without these tools so I personally can do without them… for now, anyways…
Thanks for this one too Glen - I can’t thank you enough for pointing me in the right direction. It’s a black art, a man’s art. Like all those intricate girlie creations you’ve posted - this is the man’s version.
