That was supposed to be my first centre fire rifle…until Mom found out about my plan and ratted me out to Pop. 45 years later I’m still pissed about it! I ended up buying a pristine Enfield .303 but was too young and stupid to appreciate what I had. I probly would have traded off the Savage too, no doubt!

ReplyDeleteI screwed up and traded away a pristine, magazine fed M99 back in '79. About 2012 my father in law gave me his M99, a 2nd year tang safety, feather weight model. Shoots XLNT, they aren't noted for match grade accuracy, but mine shoots better than me. I'll die with this one...
