Unjustified

Any man worth his salt will be up and at ‘em by 6:00. Back when I was working it was actually 5:00. It was awesome because I could take a leisurely walk with the dog, get into work and see what was on the fax machine before the hoople heads could hide it…and sometimes get shit done…

  2. Screw that. When I was 12 when my Dad flipped the lights on at 5am and said get your ass up, you're going to work. I kept that routine until I retired at 62. Now I get up when I wake up. The alarm clock is for special occasions.

  4. I spent 30 years getting up at 3:20. Now that I'm retired, I sleep in until 4:30.

    1. Yup - I could set my watch and warrant to the trucks. The big and little diesels alike would fire up and rattle and clank…and that was the cue for the rest of us to shake a leg and get after it too.
