Well… Pop is still with us. Bits of him, anyway. Clarity comes
and goes.
His time is so short.
For whatever reason, his Maker is calling him home,
one piece at a time.
Passage, Lord. That is all I can ask for my father.
Fast, safe, and merciful.
Amen.
Hang in there Glen - at some level, your dad knows that you are there to support him in his time of need. I promise you that is true.

DeleteI am hanging in, A. Dad is mostly gone, now.
DeleteYour easiest day was yesterday, stay strong Braheem!

It’s hard. I know this from experience. Earlier this morning
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about what was happening with my dad a year ago.
Wishing you and your family peace of mind my friend.
Rough times ahead, Brother. The guy I thought was invincible has been gone 15 years now. Wish I could make this less painful….
ReplyDeleteUghhhh… the hell of it is Mom. They fight like cats and dogs. There is no mercy in that woman’s heart…just none. I dunno if I can do this.
ReplyDeleteDon't beat your Mom, that would be baaad. Hang in there for your Dad. Life sucks, then get some range or reclusium time, so your brain can take a break. Sending good vibrations (not farts) in your general direction.
DeleteI'm truly sorry you have to go through this. If your mother has no kindness to offer your father, then you'll be able to offer enough to give your father a little peace.
ReplyDeleteThis sure isn't easy, Glen. Mom did that same long, slow fade to gray that your Dad is doing. Good luck on this journey.
