I’ve never liked the fantasy genre of fiction. Can’t say why exactly…it just never floated my boat. Now that publishing is dominated by women, the faggotry and the woke…? GAH…! No thanks. From what little I saw of it though… it always seemed that the stuff written for a male audience had the dragons as villains that needed to be killed. If the story was oriented toward women, the dragons were pets and servants.
Heinlein and the vintage writers are good before the time of WOKE communism or the Great Reset Leap Forward.
ReplyDeleteP.K. Dick is another one, hell even comrade Vonnegut who did fight in WWII and experience Dresden firsthand.
Everything is in decline in the time of terminal peak stupidity and the dullards don't even know because they didn't live through the Legacy Times.
I read (or listen on audible) at least 2 books a week. I used to only read fiction, but with audiobooks I can listen to non-fiction like biographies or weird topics: Consider the Fork, One Summer America 1927, In Harm's (The Sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis and the Extraordinary Story of Its Survivors) etc. etc. Fiction these days has become so "woke" that now I carefully scrutinize the story and characters because nearly all of them have the obligatory gay couple, often with transgender included for effect, and the men (except in romances) are usually immature bumbling twits, while the women are smart and strong, rising above adversity to triumph in today's world. I just want a good story, not a lecture.
